Icy Tower

I was going to ignore the blog for the day and instead work on a Runescape crossword puzzle for it that I would put up tomorrow, but I figured that I have finals all this week and I may not have much time to post at all. Instead, I will do sort of a review on an addictive video game that has been abducting my life for the past week or so.

The game, known as Icy Tower, is a free game created by Free Lunch Design. In the game, you must maneuver two main characters, one being a white gangster-like character and the other a black disco boogieing man, up floors of a tower to try and get to the highest floor possible that you have the ability to. While jumping up the floors, you should try and pull off a large amount of combo jumps, which is jumping two or more floors at a time. By pulling off multiple combo jumps or by reaching a high floor, you will get a score. In reality, like your average arcade game, the goal is to get the highest score, but through a simple perspective, it's to get to the highest floor or to pull off the highest combo. At least those two are my goals. By getting to high floors, you can unlock new start floors. For example, if you get to floor 200, then the floor type that you saw from 100-199 will be unlocked so that when you choose it in the game options menu, that floor type will be seen from 0-99. However, the demand becomes higher as you become more advanced, as you will have to get to floor levels such as 300 or 400 to even be allowed to unlock more floor types. As for other rewards, I'm not aware of any, but there may be some. A cool feature with the game is that you can save a replay so that you can share an amazing in-game trial that you completed with friends. No more 'yea rights' with that feature. Also when loading a replay to watch, the game is installed with some example replays, one being an amazing one in which the player got to a floor level of 900+ with an humongous combo to follow up. I can only dream of being that good.

Icy Tower is somewhat of a fever that has been spreading throughout my school. Some like it, some don't. It depends on your attitude, ideals, and patience. Some people believe that the game is boring because the only thing you do is jump from one platform to another. However I find the thrill in not knowing how far I may make it this time playing, or what combo I may do.

I have a few suggestions for the game, however it should be a totally different version of the game and not the simple version we have now. Or even better, have modes you can choose from. One being 'Classic' mode and the other 'Expert' mode. In 'Expert', some of the platforms should move left and right or up and down, or maybe even at diagonal angles. This would make the game harder and more exciting for the people who find the current version to be boring, while at the same time offering the Icy Tower that us players love and enjoy today. I don't think monsters should be added (it would be too much like a Mario-type game) but instead some sort of original obstacles.

Well, there's my two cents on the five star game known as Icy Tower. Happy Memorial Day and have a good one.

Short Post

Short blog for short people! Um. No offense if you are petite, I am not even myself...which makes no sense why I said that but did it grab your attention? I bet it did. Don't hurt me if you are below average height-wise. I like you. Okay. Enough! :]

Ah. A blog from Caitlin is so refreshing isn't it? I meant to write hours ago, days even, but got lost in other activities. Happy Memorial Day by the way! =)

Friday I went home with my friend Nicole where we went to the fancy center she had her dance recital at yesterday. Friday she had a short practice and I got to go with her, sit in the audience, and watch her perform with the rest of her dance class. They danced to songs from the musical Fame and such. It was cool =) Afterwards she took me with her to a local carnival. We watched some of the parade and then got to go on three rides (since that was all we had the time, money, and tickets for.) :P So many people from school were there, it was funny that I kept running in to someone new. x) I haven't gone to a carnival or any place that held amusement park rides for at least 5+ years. Sad..I know. I was excited and really got a whirl going on the three we did, two being ones I never even went on before. I got pretty dizzy, but it felt good I guess you could say. =P Nicole paid for me as it was her &her family's way of thanking me for helping Nicole at school this year. It was really nice of them. =) I had fun.

The rest of my weekend I didn't do anything worth really recalling. I rode my bike for awhile though. Got my legs pumpin'! :P I can't wait for summer, even if I do nothing all day, I will have my bike and my swing..or hammock..and books galore (not to mention a thousand caterpillars!) haha. I want this summer to be different though, last summer was different in a couple ways and I want this one to be unique too. Maybe I can meet someone new. I keep thinking about that lately, how I wouldn't mind meeting a new person, girl or boy. Unlikely though..I can't see where I'd meet someone who would actually find me interesting and want to talk to..haha. -shrugs-

This Friday and next I have my yearly Awakeover parties to attend! (Maybe someone remembers my entries titled awakeover last summer...aka Abby & Nicole's sleepover birthday bashez.)That should be fun. ^^

I've run out of important things to say. I want to talk to Steve. Have a good week shortayz. ;)

The Countdown

With ten more scheduled school days left on the calendar, many children in my school district may be rejoicing at the fact that the school year is almost over and the wonderful and adventurous season of summer is near. However, if Father Time gave me an option to go back in the past to the beginning of April of this year to endure more school or to live through the next ten days, I would rather jump on the time machine boggy train and head back to the past. That is how stressed out I am over the next ten days. I still have tests to take in regular classes, we have final exams galore, and on top of that, half of my English final involves the completion of five open-ended composition questions that I do not have the motivation and remembrance of to do. And on top of that, the next two days on my once-wonderful-three-day-weekend will be busy, thus reducing the valuable time that I need to do such projects and studying. And hell, half the teachers never even gave us information on our final. I think only a few gave us a brief glimpse of what we may expect. But say, for example, the first part of my Spanish final is on Wednesday and guess what, I don't even know what's going to be on it. She's throwing things left and right at us telling us that she told us how to do this or that but really she's rolling around in her own bullshit which is a touch situation for her, isn't it? I'm honestly afraid that I'm going to do horrible on much more than one final, and if anybody tells me otherwise until I'm holding my report card with the final grades printed on it, then they're throwing their own bullshit at me. I can give a list of subjects that I'm going to do bad on right now: Spanish, SAT Prep, SAT Prep Math, English, and Safety Education. The others, being World Cultures, Computer Applications, and Algebra, I'm really not fearing. And the sad part is that those are three out of eight subjects that I'm going to do, hopefully, good on. Being in the top three of your class (being ranked academically), it's hard to strive and keep up with the competition, and the only reason I'm holding on is by not overwhelming myself with extra school activities and occupations, but by next year I want to rewrite my virtues and standards and go the extra mile to breeze through my goals in the future. I may want to join FBLA or NHS or maybe try out for drama and I want to look into getting a job this summer, so I'm going to have to better my time management skills and control both my temper and nervousness. I don't want to look too far ahead though. I want to look at the next ten school days and know that I'm going to walk into my high school everyday prepared for the x number of exams I have that day and try to the best of my ability on them. I don't want to walk in with a worried expression on my face, making me look weak, and have nervous breakdowns while taking the exams.

The thing that I'm confused about, as I have realized while in the production of this blog entry, is why I'm not off working on one of those English questions now or studying. I mean, if I have the time to write a blog entry, then why not sacrifice that time for more fundamental values such as getting a good education and going somewhere in life? Well, two reasons. One, I don't have one tiny particle of motivation in me to even open Works Processor to resume my started English question, that I began last Monday. And two, this blog is going to be going far with me, and will be a large record of my life as well as the other four bright individuals who share this valuable blog with me. For me not writing down my stressed out feelings now is taking away a part of my life that I may not remember ten years down the road, heck even five years or less. I do want to write here more, so I can capture more moments and thoughts that I conjure up to add to my priceless collection of writings that are composed in the form of HTML codes on a website, but that word, known as 'motivation', is the key value that keeps me away. A drop of moisture that my wasted tongue can never absorb. But like I stated, I must think deep, explore myself, and unlock the chest that is holding back the tiger in me.

The only thing is that I wish I had a countdown to the moment when that chest was unlocked, as, at the moment, I'm wandering around in a world within my mind where I'm doubting every stinking ability that I have. Just last week I doubted if I had the smarts to achieve in college. I was thinking of just graduating high school in the top three and just moving on in life to something that I may enjoy. A hobby, writing books, etc. But then I started to think that I would go to college for programming, and like I said in my last blog entry, work for some major gaming company like Jagex. Or stick with my original goal of obtaining majors in computer science and education, and be a, well, computer science teacher. But whatever happens, the blog will be here. I just wish that Chase, Joey, and Jenifer posted more.

Have a good one.

What to Do?

When you were younger, or if you're currently a teenager, did you ever think to yourself, "What am I going to do with my life? What am I going to make out of it? Who am I going to influence? What kind of person will I be? Where will I be?" Well, these questions have been streaming through my head for the last couple days and it's mostly about my future and, yes, college. This school year is almost over and then I'll only be faced with two more years until graduation. And then I'll have to start making the ultimate decisions that will change my life and my fate. What college will I go to, if any at all? What will I major in? And especially what occupation am I going to be working for in the future? These are questions that I want to get ready now, so I can wrap up the answers and start heading that way in my later high school years. At this point in time, things aren't looking too good. I have no extracurricular activities that I participate in at school, no clubs (well, my school only has about three clubs), and no work experience or community service hours. All those factors are going to be screwing me over when it comes to applying for colleges. My father was just talking to me and he's encouraging me to do this thing that I was invited to do by the guidance department, but I'm still doubting any of it. The thing is: I have no self-confidence, and he just told me that and I fully agree. Carol even told me that on AIM today, and yet again I agree.

I'm debating whether to go with my original goal of becoming a computer science teacher and then work my way up to a principal position, or go to college to major in various computer programming languages and work for some game company, such as Jagex. Yes, that would probably be a hard job position to get, but God would it be a dream come true. Now I have to look and the positives and negatives from a standpoint where no research was done. Would I be happy as a teacher? Maybe the first five years, but then I would probably start going insane like 93% of the teachers that are in my school. Plus you do a lot of work for little pay, and I can't work well with kids -- hence why high school teacher was my best pick. Now for a gaming company like Jagex, I may be happier. They get around seven million or more a month, so the employees should get well-paid. You may program your heart away, trying to meet the demands of a weekly update and striving for grand teamwork, but when you have a crowd following you in-game awing at your supernatural mod abilities as you test some new feature on a public server, it's well worth it. I would be 'Mod Buddy Foote'. Yes, a true that will hopefully one day become true. But maybe something else in the future will come up that I'll want to jump into. The bad things about both of my career choices is that I may be jobless fresh out of college for a while. Ever hear of a substitute teacher? Yea, they're mostly a teacher without a permanent job in case you didn't know. I would hate to wake up every morning wondering if the school is going to call me to come in to work. My days would be totally unpredictable, I would be filling in for another teacher which I always thought would be awkward, and I wouldn't be able to create any plans on the weekdays. And for programming, you'll have to search around for a company to find you. Would Jagex accept me? I highly doubt it. They seem like they have only around a hundred employees, even with the growing population of players, and most of those employees seem to be customer support.

Well, I'm off to have a root bear float with ice cream. Have a good one.

A School Entry

Yet again, it has been a week and a weekend without me being aroung the blog to post an entry. And yet again, thank you Caitlin for being there with your utmost motivation to keep the blog active. I actually wasn't going to post at this minute, as I could be firemaking on Runescape or working on my actual assignment that was given (as you can tell by the title, this is an entry coming to you from my school). I'm just going to breifly update my life store here and move on. I had a good conversation with Aeron yesterday about almost everything that could be covered on Runescape, so I may post that up either today, tomorrow, or someday this week.

Let me just start off by saying that my life this past week was horrible. During the actual week last week, I had a very uneasy feeling about the upcoming final exams that we're going to be plagued with come next week. Then, I woke up one morning for school later in the week with the right side of my jaw in pain. I later learned that my wisdom teeth are probably coming in. I was in a lot of pain since. Then on Friday night I slept up my hunting cabin with my father to go turkey hunting the following morning. That was fun and enjoyable, however I must've obtained a bad cramp in my leg while I was sleeping (or a charlie horse?) and I had to limp all day with a pain while hunting. I heard a single gobbler far away but I saw nothing all day while I hunted by myself. Then it rained the rest of the day, so I was stuck inside of the cabin until we left. And then I get home and the ultimate factors hit me to make my life bad: my laptop almost explodes and my nephew/mother were grinding my gears all day Saturday and Sunday. How did my laptop almost explode? I was showing my nephew how to make a level on Mario Worker when the vent on the left side of the laptop started to make crackling and popping noises. I was freaked out by the unusual noises and turned off the laptop, hoping that such a disturbance could be fixed overnight by itself. I was wrong. Next morning it's going fine, but as soon as I start a game (Runescape, Icy Tower, Mario Forever, etc.) the laptop started to make that noise. I went along to investigate and it stated that such noises occur before some laptop models self-destruct. Well that's nice! I tried it this morning. Surfed the web for a minute, then tried Runescape. The noises began as soon as I logged in. And my nephew wouldn't stop pushing the horrible truth into my face that my laptop was suffering such a horrible fate. For five years old, he can be a...I can't even think of the word at the moment. My anger just from thinking about these subjects is rising. But Sunday was going as a good day, besides being yelled at and having a nervous breakdown mid-day. I went outside with Craig for most of the day, kicking a basketball on the swings at the Jermyn Park, but then I come home after our day outside. Time goes by, it's ten at night, I'm sitting on Runescape firemaking ready to get off, and my good friend Matt IMs me asking for help on the paper we had due today. And what do I do, stupid me? I release my anger out on him. And now he's mad at me. Knock on wood, I hope life can't get worse. Matt, if you read this, I'm sorry.

The bell is about to ring and the internet is loading slow today, so I better publish this entry. Have a good one.

Typical Long Random Post

Well, quite a few things have occured since I last wrote, so I'll fill you all in. I planned on starting this entry a little earlier, as in 1pm, but it turns out it's now 6:11pm. :P I can never keep my personal promises to do this then and that then. 8) Last time I mentioned my field trip, well that was over a week ago. Last Saturday I got my hair cut! It was sort of last minute decided. I shared a haircut I liked an entry or so ago, but really didn't think I'd be getting my hair cut shortly thereafter. I got some length taken off to where it looks considerably shorter. I also got bangs cut. I haven't had bangs since first grade, and back then they were frizzy little curls with bowties taped on them. :P Getting used to having bangs was a little interesting at first. Depending on what I do it depends on how it looks. If I leave them natural, they either frizz out bad or stick up. I straightened them last week and that looked alright. Lately I've just been clipping them to the side of my forehead or all the way to side using a variety of new clips I got. :P I was pleased at the review my friends gave me. Right now they are curly and wet since I just got out of the shower.

The following day was Mother's Day. I'd rather not remember the events of that day because it was just horrible! Worst Mother's Day ever, that's for sure. :P However, the end of the day improved because....I got warped tour tickets! I am officially going to attend Warped Tour, mosh pits, profanity, and all! xD I will be going with two of my bestest friends, Abby and Nicole on July 26th. (= We are all pretty excited and were talking about how we all have to get a 'cool' outfit to wear to fit in with such a scene. :P Ha, I never went to a concert before, and this is more of an outdoor concert loaded with a bunch of minor punk-rock-ska-emo- alternative-screamo-kinda bands. :P There IS going to be a whole lot of awesome bands there though, and as the date gets nearer you can count on a complete list of the bands I will see that day. Family Force 5 being one of them!!!! =) Let's get PuMpEd! x)

Tuesday was the National Honor Society induction ceremony at school! I got to get a little dressed up and be a part of an assembly in front of the school where when my name was called I walked up on stage, recieved a flower, candle, and shook some hands, then proceeded to sit on some risers in the back to recite a pledge, etc. It was really nice. I was thinking how lucky I am to be in this and that I shouldn't take it for granted because I can only imagine how sad I would have been if I was one of the people who didn't get in. =/ However, I got out of about all my classes that day. After the assembly there were fruit snacks out in my school's light court. I missed my bus (on purpose) and got a ride home with my mother who came to see the assembly that afternoon. Fun, fun. ^^ Later that night we all went to a banquet where we ate a good dinner, recieved certificates and membership cards, and listened to a speaker some more. They also had listed the activites the NHS did in the previous year, and it sounded so exciting. I can only wait to see what neat things will come about to participate in now that I am an official member. (:

This year alone I have been to more banquets and events then I think I've been to in all my years combined! Hehe. It's pretty cool. This Wednesday I have another banquet/ceremony for Drama where I am being inducted into the International Thespian Society, which totally blows my mind. I just joined Drama this year and Abby and I are shocked they picked us for that!? I mean, we heard/thought that was for dedicated drama kids who have been acting in the plays for years and accumulated enough points. Apparently Abby and I got all the points we needed already because we did Costumes AND Stage Crew for one play at once? The kids who are already in that are the big drama people who have lead roles and stuff. Some of my friends who have been on tech crews for drama longer than Abby and I haven't even gotten into it yet! Abby and I have never even acted in a play...haha it's soo weird. Now this is another great thing I can add to my list of accomplishments because it counts as an activity since there wll be meetings as a Thespian where I get to help decide what the next play will be and such? It's so new to me, haha. x) The banquets just keep rolling in. Let's rewind...there was the VFW Essay Contest one, Reflections, NHS, and now this. My head will be spinnin'. xP

Time to change the subject now. -thinks- Friday! I spent after-school over my friend Heather's house. =) I think that was one of the best times we've had, hands down! I had a blast. The only thing that ruined it was Chase being stubborn in taking some of my stuff home off the bus so I could get off at Heather's stop, but that anger went away as soon as we got to her room. :P We did a lot of stuff! If I remember correctly, we went outside first up to the barn. Heather lives on a farm (I've probably said this everytime I wrote about my time at her house). Everyday she runs up there to give the animals fresh water etc. On Friday we had the camera and wanted to take snapshots of us next to our favorite horse, either Ginger or Belle. I couldn't decide, but ended up going with Ginger as Heather chose Belle. First of all, just being up on a farm every so often is fun itself because I feel like such a country girl climbing over the fences, jumping over the barbed wire, and trekking through cow manure with chickens attacking my ankles. I got up to Ginger and Heather took my picture. Then I did the same for her. After this we had to carry heavy buckets to give everyone fresh water. Heather must have some muscles because those buckets were heavy! Sheesh. :P The chickens are loose all over the place and are really funny. They follow you everywhere!! I mean, if you start running or pretend to throw food the entire flock comes out of nowhere and you have to run for your life. Haha I love it. Heather and I went inside the barn in hopes of collecting some fresh eggs, and just by the chickens seeing you carrying their warm laid eggs a dozen of them follow you at all times and you can barely walk because they just surround your ankles. Usually when there is a bad egg, Heather and I will crack it against a rock and you'd think the greatest thing in the world was thrown. The chickens dive at it and slurp it up so fast! There is just so many of them up there, and I almost always step in their poop which is gross but what can you do. :P After that I fed Buddy the dog some biscuits. He's so cute, he's been up there as long as I can remember. He used to be rough and I'd be scared he was going to bite or jump on me, but he's mellowed out over the years. Either that or he's just used to me coming up there now. After being on the farm for a little, Heather and I decided to go for a walk down the road to her grandmother's house. We picked pretty purple flowers on the way and waved to the grandfather mowing the lawn. We weren't there very long because we suddenly came across an awesome idea. Just a few years ago Heather moved into a newer built house directly next door to her old one. We constantly go over to the backyard of her now abandonded old, small, white house, sometimes even to just sit on the roof waving at the cars that honk at us as they zoom by. Well Heather sometimes gets this urge for adventure, and I admit I do too. The plan was this, we were going to try to break into her old house. :P It had to be done precisely without breaking anything and leaving obvious marks that we had snuck inside. The doors were locked yet with only some minor struggling we were able to easily pop the window off and then pull it up in order to crawl inside. It was so thrilling, haha. Heather's uncle had been working on remodeling it a little so tools and wood littered the floor everywhere. I even got a nail stuck in the bottom of the sneaker. Despite the strong wood smell, being inside Heather's empty old house brought back so many memories. For one, it's so so so tiny compared to her new home. (No wonder they needed to move :P) I've been close best friends with Heather since second grade, and had been coming over to that little house forever. I remembered it all just as much as she did. The petite kitchen, hallway toilet, small closet, tiny bedrooms. We went into each and every room, admiring it all and reminiscing about what used to be there. Heather had brought a permanent marker so when we went up the super small steps to the upstairs into her room, she wanted to sign our names in an obscure spot on the wall. We wrote our names a few times around the house and sometimes added the year 1998 to seem to anyone else that such had been signed years ago rather than recently. There was an old piano in one room and we tried to play it for awhile. Then we decided we better get out before we breathed in anymore of that smell. It was so much fun though. Once outside we decided that it's going to be our new secret place to visit sometimes when I come over so we can play the piano and hang out and the whatnot. Shhh.. =)

I was freezing outside now (I have such poor body temperature sometimes) so I wanted to go back to her house but we had to sign a couple more things outside. Like the special tree, the special rock, and a tin can hidden in a tree. Then we checked on this old shed and it was filled with newborn kittens!! Totally adorable, this little black one sat outside but was very spooked when we tried to come near. I can't wait to see them again...awww. =)

After dinner, Heather and I had a total fashion show, haha. She had one of those film cameras so she wanted to use the rest of the film in order to get it developed. We had five more pictures to take of each other so we decided to do themes. We both got dressed up in five different outfits being named the following: Dressy, Summer Casual, Skater Punk, Sleepwear, & a mixed match one..or it was black&white. I forget the last one. Then we posed different ways together outside&in her living room as her mom snapped away. It was fun, so girly, haha. I can't wait to see how they came out. My Best Friends picture frame can use a new pic. ;-D

That was about it. =) Great time indeed. Yesterday I didn't do anything because I was sort of sick with cold and decided to be lazy as I had the house to myself. :P My friend Lauren got her drivers liscense yesterday! She passed and I am very happy for her! =) Now she seems eager to pick me up and go somewhere/do something. xD We might do something this weekend. This event is yet another reminding me that I can get my permit and just haven't yet. The other day I brought it up to my mom again and she said with the straightest face ever "Why don't you wait until you're in your twenties? You know you don't have to get it now..." My face literally dropped. 20s!?! I admit I don't want to drive yet really, but the fact it's for the best to learn now because it's something I pretty much HAVE to do. I explained to her I think I should definately go for my permit this summer and practice more. Then eventually get my liscense and practice more. I figure that way by the time I graduate high school I should have my liscense and be somewhat comfortable with the idea of driving before I go off to college because otherwise I will not survive, haha literally. :P I am going to be uncomfortable and scared with college in general, and do not want to have the pressure of being a super new driver added on top of that. I think she'll get used to the idea, she's probably just scared like I am. I think we'll be making a doctor's appointment soon for me to get my physical soon so I can take my permit test after that. I was reading some of a driver book today and found myself feeling excited about the idea of driving around on real roads. I think of it as playing a video game, where I am in control and have to steer and take myself across to explore new lands, and I don't want to "lose a life" and must be careful of any "obstacles" blocking my path. Sweet metaphor huh? [; Finger pain now. Must enddd! x) Tootles ^.~

The Hunt Is On!

I must begin this blog by saying 'Happy Mother's Day' to all the mothers out there who have/had to put up with their sons and daughters since the moment, well, the miracle of reproduction happened.

I was proofreading the blog entry that I produced yesterday (see, I can give birth too) and realized that I didn't mention 'Runescape' once in the whole entry. I was amazed as that entry may have been the first huge one in years that didn't mention one single bit of reference to Runescape at all. So I thought, "I'll now have motivation to write the next day on something relating to Runescape" and alas, I do have that motivation today.

The topic that I wish to discuss relates to autoers/macroers. Yes, I have brought this up many times in the past but after sitting around for the majority of the day yesterday reporting any person that I suspected to be an autoer (and even today I reported a bit), I think I deserve to bring up the topic again. Lately, Jagex has been targeting the whole bot business by banning bots, their main accounts, and people who bought Runescape gold. It's good to see that they're taking action, but Jagex cannot fully rid bots without the help of a few resourceful reports sent in that may grab their attention to a select few bots they may have missed. And even if they knew about them and banned them, the same script can create about a hundred bots elsewhere spreading them across various worlds. Sure, Jagex stated that they're going to operate I.P. bans, but I don't see any of that happening. Yes, they are going after the member bots the most it seems, as I'm only an autoer hunter on free-to-play servers, but I see the same surnames of bots today as I have seen months ago. And I say surnames as in the same letters at the beginning or end and then numbers places elsewhere. For example, some common surnames I have seen lately are 'mmkknn', 'dfer', 'fcfc', 'binbb', 'honfan', 'kizha', and 'eveing'. If you see them, it's pretty safe to assure yourself that they're appropriate to report. The sad thing is that no matter what world I go on to report autoers, I will see the same surnames. So far I have been touring Worlds 86 and 127 for them, but I will test other worlds some other day to see similarities.

What do I get out of reporting autoers, or what I like to call as well as Aeron, autoer hunting. The process is slow and for some, painstaking, however I find a thrill in autoer hunting. I enjoy grabbing my autoer tablet and my vibrant blue pen and recording the names of autoers down as they mindlessly chop at yew trees with their iron woodcutting axes or pass by me on their way to another tree, or if I'm by the docks of Port Sarim, to the fishing spots on Karmaja Island. I can get as much as ten to fifty autoers at a single location of a few trees, whether they be yews or willows. Actually, just yesterday I reported a whopping amount of 137 autoers with 117 of those reported on one world on a single sitting without logging out once. Today I reported 51 before rapping up my autor hunting supplies so that I could log off and move on to more essential elements of life. The main reason why I began to report autoers way back when was because I wanted to become a player moderator. Reporting autoers was a method that I sought out that meant I would be in the middle of nowhere with fifty computer scripts running around me that would not, thankfully, talk or annoy me. Reporting by standing by the fountain in Varrock or outside the castle in Lumbridge meant that you would take a risk for your sake of time because you didn't always have rule breakers around, but you always have beggars around. At least with reporting autoers, you can guarantee that if they're an autoer than they're breaking a rule, thus they're ideal to report. I still hold the ultimate goal of one day obtaining the position of player moderator, but until that day, I will go on hunting and reporting autoers. And even if I were to have 'modship', I would probably still seek out autoers just so that I could contribute to Jagex's goal of ridding their game of these pests that take away from the feel of the game.

I plan on getting my video recording software prepared and make a little documentation of sorts on the different habitats of autoers with my voice added to the video, so look out for that in the coming days or weeks. I want to educate other players on autoers and I also want to receive further education on them myself. I want ways to foil their demented silentness and their methods of cutting yew trees 24/7. The main way that we all can do together is, of course, reporting the scum, and that will hopefully get the job done in the future. If you were to question me a few weeks ago on reporting autoers, I would probably respond that it's a waste of time. Why? I did it in the past all the time and never received any recognition for it. But now Jagex is out to destroy the autoing operations, and thus this is the time we must go out and report autoers so that Jagex may take further actions. If you're a skiller, like me, then you'll want to see autoers gone, so that skillers who master woodcutting, fishing, mining, etc. can finally be rewarded for the raw materials that they collect. We want to see shark prices stay at one thousand gold pieces or beyond or yew prices to stay above three hundred. What we must do is stop complaining about the bots, and report them. You'll feel better knowing that as little as you may be in the huge population that makes up the players of Runescape, that you contributed in the best way to getting rid of a huge problem.

Here's an example of what my autoer tablet looks like. This is the record of the 178 autoers I reported in the last two days.

If you're ever bored with the other features of the game, such as doing skills, quests, fighting, etc. and you want to keep Runescape fresh, then get out there and report some autoers.

As it's Mother's Day, I want to feature some pictures that my mother has captured with my digital camera that I had left downstairs for the last week. She enjoys to take pictures a lot. I have handpicked a selection of my favorite pictures that she has taken. Enjoy!

"runescape--getting a whip in 5 hours"

The solution to getting a whip in five hours depends on the type of situation that you find yourself in. If you have the money (as whips are extremely cheap nowadays), then you can be the proud owner of a whip in less than a half hour if you buy on the forums or in a busy world. Now if you don't have the money and you're extremely broke, then you probably won't obtain the whip in five hours unless you scammed or somebody died next to you with three items that have a shop price greater than a whip and they were wielding the whip and thus now the whip is yours. But of course, scamming is a reportable offense and well, you have better luck getting struck by lightning then winning the Runescape lottery in your case. Just skill, get raw materials, sell them, make a few hundred thousand and maybe continue skilling or merchant. Whatever you have to do, but you need patience when playing Runescape. Some guy in f2p wanted me to give him money and I told him 'no' and told him to skill. He said that he didn't have the time so I coolly told him, "Well, Runescape isn't the game for you then." Funny, as afterwards he said "nvm i have time." Strange people..

Have a good one and Happy Mother's Day! Time to study for a two hundred Spanish verb test. Procrastination for the win!

One Finger Typing

Buddy Foote shows his readers how he types with only one finger. Note that I have been typing like this my whole life and I cannot change as it's such a used habit.

A Series of Fortunate Events

Hello. It is I, Buddy Foote. I am here to proclaim a series of events that have occurred to me since my little hiatus from the blog (which will follow no chronological order) and some other points that I may wish to make in this entry. First off, I would like to say 'sorry' as I have not been active much at this site. It was mainly due to the fact that I had no motivation whatsoever to write, and whenever I built up the mental ability that I say to myself, "You know what? I think I feel like writing a blog entry today." something comes up that prevents me from doing so, whether it be an internal conflict such as a headache or an external conflict such as going somewhere. And of course, such as I say in every blog entry that I produce every other two weeks, I was lazy. Sad, it's almost the middle of the month of May and I only produced two blog entries, with this being the second of the two. Thank God Caitlin has a lot of writing strength to keep the blog alive, or otherwise I wouldn't be able to climb out of the ditch that I dug this blog into.

One can say that my life has become interesting lately. I have gone on wild expeditions into the forest behind my hometown of Jermyn to build a natural fort with Craig, went on journeys with my friends with our guide and driver being Darrin (who flies airplanes and is in the same grade as me), stayed at Darrin's house overnight just this previous night, took my laptop to school twice (which was an adventure inside a nutshell), and of course, watched the best LOST episode this last Wednesday. I don't know if I ever mentioned this on here (surprisingly enough as I believe I was watching the series longer than this blog has been around), I am a huge LOST fan, as well as my friend Josh, you're own Aeron from the forum here called #Foote_Chat (which even contains a LOST topic), and my other friend Chris. There's just too much to talk about when it comes to LOST, and if anything about the show was to be presented to you on this blog, then it would come in the format as an instant messenger conversation, with, of course, legal authorization by the receiver to post such up. Speaking of legal terms, I may start going around the blog starting from Day One and delete anything (I'm going to target only videos at the moment) that could bring up a lawsuit, like videos I had of people that weren't authorized. Pretty much that Spencer video. If anybody has any problems with certain pictures being on here or if there's a picture of them, please just leave a comment or you probably know me so just kindly ask me in person to remove such.

Also, if you're a LOST fan, I want to hear from you and what you have to say about the show. Either comment here or join up at #Foote_Chat to discuss the show.

When I stated that Craig and I were making a 'natural' fort in the woods, I meant a fortress constructed out of logs, sticks, branches, shrubbery, etc. The fort is hard work, and we spent quite a few hours pulling heavy logs and gathering sticks to make it. Of course, I cannot give any pinpoint location on the fort as it's secret and I don't want any pedophiles "pedifiles" waiting for us inside of it whenever we travel there. Sadly, the shrubbery that we placed on it died, as we found out the last time we were there, and that upset me as we spent a lot of time wandering the woods looking for live branches to cut and even picker bushes to place at the base. Meh, it looked like a large bush at first but now it's a dying bush. It'll fit in soon enough when the Gypsy moth caterpillars are swarming all over the place.

Last Friday, not this past Friday, Darrin, Kyle, Matt, Tiffani, and I all went to Carol's house. Matt and I were playing Call of Duty 3 on the Playstation 3 (amazing graphics and gameplay, but I think I would prefer the Wii version for simplicity) for a while, and then we played Mad Gab all together. That Saturday I went turkey hunting (didn't hear a single gobble [was the third day I went spring turkey hunting this year]) and while walking around looking for a gobbler, we calculated that we traveled a distance of roughly ten miles. Then, I think this was the right day, after I went hunting I went to my niece's third birthday party out by Forest City and then we traveled to Honesdale to go shopping, and then we went for a ride around the countryside to get ice cream. We as in my mother, father, and I. The following day on Sunday, Darrin took Kyle, Carol, Burge, and I out to Dickson City to Starbucks and some stores like Best Buy and Wal-Mart. Then we went to Carol's house for a while, hitting the birdie around her backyard with badminton rackets. And THEN after that I went home and wrote a seven-page paper for my world cultures class to which I found out the following school day that we only had to have a sample of our paper and not the whole thing. At least I'll be more worry-free around the deadline for the paper at the end of this week. As you can see, that weekend was extremely busy for me, and was a very large set of interesting events that I endured.

As for turkey hunting, I don't know if I mentioned this or not in an earlier entry post-beginning of turkey season, but on the first day of the youth hunt I missed two gobblers that were about twelve yards in front of me. Yes, very sad indeed. However, it's not as bad as the time that I missed a gobbler that was so close I could've reached out and chocked it. The second day I went I saw the head of a turkey for a split second, and then they turned around and left. I didn't know if it was a hen or a gobbler. The third day we went on our ten mile "hike" and heard nothing but saw a hen, which you cannot shoot during spring turkey season -- only the fall. It was a good season so far. I didn't go today as I stayed at Darrin's house overnight, and I may go next week, the last week, dependent upon whether my father will have work or not. However, at this point of the season, the leaves on the trees are going to make setting up a shooting range difficult as well as seeing the turkey coming in, and the turkeys just seem to have, well, left all of a sudden. I mean, where we go hunting, they're there, from the tracks they leave as well as dung, dust bowls, and scratchings, but they won't gobble nor come out of their, well, wherever they are. I just want to shoot a gobbler already. So far I only shot a hen one fall season, and when it comes to deer, I shot three doe and a four-point buck. Very nice!

So, what about Darrin's last night? Darrin was at a baseball game with his parents down at the Lackawanna Stadium watching the Scranton - Wilkes-Barre Yankees and thus, he didn't get out of the game until late at night. It wasn't until post ten thirty that he picked me up, and we arrived at his house about seven minutes after eleven. Kyle stayed over too. We first took turns playing Kyle's baseball game for the PS2. Then Darrin, being a pilot in training (he can even fly solo now), showed me this airplane simulator that he had on his computer. Wow. He was explaining everything to me but I was half-asleep so it was hard to absorb all the information but I was able to taxi a big Boeing 27 (right?) and take off, then he and Kyle took over the controls as I freaked out being up in the air. I didn't want to die. I have a phobia of flying, and I guess that simulator was realistic enough to release my fear, even if I was safe behind a computer screen simulating the situation. Then Kyle took over as the pilot after we did the smaller Boeing and Darrin gave him a double deck Boeing. I was on my laptop at this time, falling asleep, but I kept on glancing at what they were doing. Darrin explained his heart out in so much detail that I can understand basic controls in a cockpit, and let Kyle go out to take off and then land. Well, Kyle was doing great. He took off smoothly, flew around above San Francisco for a while, and then was coming in for the landing. Well, he did a rough landing and I think crashed the plane in a minor way. Oh well. I then fell asleep as the two were watching "Snakes on a Plane". In the morning we made breakfast, to which Kyle had a harder time eating than preparing, and Darrin drove us home as he had to go flying solo to two different airports, and back. He's probably zooming around up in the heavens now as I sit on the solid earth typing up this monstrous blog entry.

I have much more topics to discuss, such as my complaint about MySpace, my one hundred phobias, reasons to join #Foote_Chat, etc. but my single typing finger is tired. Poor thing. I'm actually going to grab my camera now and make a video of my typing with one finger to show Aeron, so maybe I'll post that up in the future. And I have to go clean up things like the Spencer video. If you want to see it, I'll leave it up for a few more hours (it's located in the April 2006 blog entries).

Have a good one.

Field Trip

Hey there. As promised, I am going to take some time to write a blog entry about the field trip Thursday, and then of course you'll get your douse of Cat ramblings. =) I was just outside reading a little on the swing, "Bras&Broomsticks" is the title. I'm not sure I like it yet, apparently the group of 'girly' novels I got last week are not coming up to par with my liking. Summer Boys was good, but the rest I don't find that interesting. -shrugs- :P

Anyways, Thursday I went on my first field trip with the National Honor Society. We left at 8:00, and didn't return until 2 that afternoon so I missed pretty much the whole school day. There was about a busload of us to go to the YMCA. I thought it amusing to be taking my personal school bus I ride everyday, along with my bus driver, George, whom it was nice to see. x) Once we got to the YMCA, I noticed it was just as small as I remembered it to be. I've only ever gone to that specific Y a time or two, which was for pool parties in the second grade. However, we were split up into groups after eating some breakfast. The boys all went outside to rake mulch and lift boxes of some sort. Half the girls went upstairs to the preschool, a few did paper work, and some got to swim in the pool while cleaning it down. Lauren, Mica, and I were sent to another seperate building where a different preschool class was being held. The moment we walked in the door the women asked if we were shy girls, haha, which of course is pretty much really true. I guess we naturally come off as quiet. I am pretty sure I was the only one who spoke to the women the whole time, and was the only one who spoke up to answer their casual questions like what school are we from. :P I am trying to work on that, not that I'll ever be the sociable loud type, but if Lauren and Mica were just going to stand and smile, I couldn't be rude and not answer them. Haha..we're so..funny. :P We spent the morning scrubbing toddler toys and chairs with sponges and buckets out back. I think we did a good job, despite the fact our fingers were extremely pruney afterwards. :P When we were out back, I had closed the door but that time it locked on us so we were locked out. Everything worked out though. I had to sneak around front, hoping I wouldn't get lost on my way, haha. The children there were cute. This one little girl had really curly blonde hair and the rosiest cheeks I ever saw, plus glasses. She had the most frightened look on her face and she had to come out and see that Mica, Lauren, and I didn't steal her precious toys. :P I felt like I was going down some sort of memory lane cleaning all those toys. Honestly, more than half the toys that we cleaned I owned. Everytime I washed this truck, or this round person, I exclaimed "I had this! and this! and aww this guy too!" :P Haha. I remember my toys quite vividly, probably because I played with everything ALL the time. Town was my favorite game to play with my brother.

After washing so many toys, we were told to take a break although I didn't know where to go for one. :P I went to see what my other friends' jobs were, and then wanted to go and see the pool again. Boy, it's so small! It was filled too with mothers and children, hehe. After a near-fall-pool experience, I left, went back to dry the wet toys, and by then it was time to board back upon the bus. I was pretty hungry and glad we were heading to my favorite park to eat lunch and hang out! When we got to the park, there were a number of different schools there with kids all over the grass and pavilillion wearing the same yellow shirts as us. :P It was dizzying, haha. They served everybody hot dogs/hamburgers, chips, soda, and cookies. Ewh, none of it was that good. The chips and soda were kinda warm, and I didn't like my hot dog much..lol. But since I was hungry ate it anyway. x) Then we got to go walking off by ourselves. One of the things I noticed throughout this whole field trip, was that it was completely different than field trips I've been on in the past with my whole class &stuff. Back then we had to walk in lines, stay together, etc. This trip we were EXPECTED to be responsible and know what we had to do without any instruction. I guess I wasn't use to that and that caused me to pick up on it. I mean, never ever would we have been allowed to walk around a huge park by ourselves where we could get in trouble, lost, or not come back on time. Obviously, we came back on time and all was fine, but still, now I understand why they really consider every element when choosing members for that society. There's no room for kids who want to fool around.

Anyways, I formed a big group with my friends and got to lead the way around the park because I have been there so many times and most of them haven't been! (shocked, yes. :P ) We went to the zoo located there. It's a small little thing, and I had never paid to look inside it but it was open to all that day so we wandered inside. Ew my gosh as soon as I walked inside I was hit with this nauseating smell. xP We saw turtles, a tiger, dozens of monkeys, a sloth, alligators, foxes, and many birds. It was cool, just smelly and stuffy inside there. Cassandra and I took interest in this one particular toothless, orange haired monkey that did nothing but sit there and chew toothlessly. xD Haha. John danced with the bird who danced right on back. The bird's name was Burt by the way. :P

After that I wanted to show everyone the water fall, actually, I wanted to take a peek at the new bridge and treehouse being built my mom told me about. We went down that way but the workers said we couldn't use the bridge yet. We played on the playground instead, completely ignoring the "5-12 years of age only" sign. Hey, there is not a single person that wouldn't agree Cat can't pass as a 12 year old. I look like one every day of my life, so all's good. :P The whole lot of us went down the tube slide. It was so fun! We all ran around the castle set-up, and walked the monkey bars because can you believe it, we're too tall. Haha. Then we got our picture taken with our heads peeping through the castle windows. :P It was so cute, I haven't felt so relaxed in a long time. The weather that day was gorgeous, and walking around just taking in the fresh air, laughing, and talking with my classmates was the best! It was so great to have a change from the daily school routine, day in and day out. Just to spend a day elsewhere was very refreshing ! xD The neatest thing was, I completely forgot about any school-related work until we were going back that it hit me I had a Spanish test the next day. I was even shocked at how at ease my mind was and that I could forget about something so completely. :P After the playground we even walked to the front of the museum, far from where we should be. Lot's of fun, just a good day overall. =)

To make things even better, when I returned to gym class that last period the moment I walked inside, my super friend Bee ran over to me and gave me this huge hug because she missed me all day she said. That was so sweet! See, the day before we had this big serious talk about something and I think it made us so much closer, like I lovee herrr. xD<3 Then we went with Nicole who missed me too! Haha, aw I love when they miss me, I feel so liked, lol =) We got drinks and walked the day away. I guess you can say I was in a good mood yesterday, and am again today. =) :P

Whaaat a blog entry. Not my longest though, but my fingers are getting a little sore. We barely did anything in school today because half the school left early for something or other...mostly prom I guess. I learned today that the Junior and Seniors have their prom together, which surprised me. I didn't know that, haha. I wish it wasn't like that though..I mean, wouldn't you think the senior prom, which is supposed to be your last school dance and this and that, be seperate with your class. I don't know, it sounds so unusual to me. -shrugs- :P

I can't write anymoree! Fingers need a break. :P Have a good one!! =)

Radically Random...

I don't have anything now. Actually, I have a second rap, lol, but because this entry is long and my fingers hurt just a bit, I am going to save it. Please tell me this was your favorite radically random everr! :P I have to get more random&creative with these. ;]

Nervous?

Sheesh. My apologies for not writing a blog this weekend, I meant to, but spent very little time online and let it slip. Not that I am happy about that, I have said it a million times so what's one more, I love writing here and do okay keeping it updated but I think I can do better...so I should try harder :P I do miss the other bloggers on here. -wonders where they are- ...? -hint hint-.

The last time I posted I think I mentioned how I was accepted into the National Honor Society. =) Well this Thursday we have a little field trip already which sounds pretty exciting. The plan was that we're going to a YMCA to clean-up then have a park picnic, missing school for the day. Doesn't sound like a bad way to spend a day ^^ I'll be sure to write a blog about it later this weekend. :]

Well, I didn't do much after school today even though I had wanted to go outside, take a walk, ride my bike, read, etc. My bike got fresh air in it's tires yesterday so now it's safe&ready to ride. I was all happy because I cannot wait to resume my bike riding with zeh iPod in the ears :P I rode my bike everyday last summer, and it was really relaxing and I was getting exercise at the same time..fun. x) Anyways, I came home from school and sat around in the sun for a little, reaaaaally lazily. :P I felt like doing sqwat. It seems since just this past Friday I've been feeling like nervous maybe? I don't mind, but it's not a good feeling. I didn't feel good Friday actually, and then I had to run the mile. Thankfully I was feeling better by then, and it's quite incredible that despite everything, I ran the mile the fastest I have since elementary school. I ran four laps around the track in 8 minutes, 58 seconds. I was totally shocked. Seriously, just last year I had 10:31 or something. :P weee. That made me feel athletic for about a day. Hah. ;-) However, today at school this case of the 'nervousness feeling' hit little ol' me. When I got home from school I just still felt like something was bothering me..maybe that's why I didn't want to do anything and decided to just sit and calm down. It was weird and I don't know the reason. Maybe I'm stressed about something...but what? School does seem a little exhausting recently,& I am eager for summer actually, but that doesn't mean anything. =P

Yet again I don't have any specific topic to stick to in this blog. I hope nobody minds, but there isn't an ANYbody out there to mind..or is there? -shrugs- My fingers feel like dancing over the keys for a little while.

I read a short&sweet novel Saturday. It was called 'Summer Boys'. Yeah, so maybe when I went to the library Friday night I picked out four extremely girly stories, but I felt like getting in touch with my girly teen side xD Lol. Summer boys was about, what else, summer boys (George and Beth were totally cute I couldn't stop smiling afterwards). :P I have a varied book taste sometimes. I love any novel from a girl's point of view, historic or modern, and it can be about anything. I might start my next book tonight, 'I like it like that - A Gossip Girl Novel" :P I am pretty sure this might be one of the books from the series about those four materialistic girls my SAT prep teacher mentioned to my class today. I guess I'll find out for sure though shortly. :P

My blogs totally need more depth to them! I ramble on about the most pointless things ever! It's like I am having an astranged conversation with myself...

If anyone reads this blog, I bow down to thee. :P You must really be bored or find me entertaining. :]

I really should end this now. I want to watch a video on youtube actually...and help Steve solve his depressing forum issues. -pokes reader- Free scooby snacks to the first 10 active sign upp-eys. Invite Code: f93a6ae9

Update: I'm Alive

I'm sorry that I haven't posted in a while. I don't really have any reasonable excuses to why I didn't. Heck, the good ol' "I was lazy" phrase won't even fit anymore, as I wasn't lazy. Was I playing Runescape too much to have time for the blog? Actually, no. Runescape, in my eyes, has decreased in its fun factor, and for some odd reason I can no longer play it for long periods of time like I used to. The stranger part is when I do want to play it, I stop myself. Yes, I'm trying to stop playing Runescape. My ultimate goal was to become a player moderator and I just recently got a total level of 1600, but I doubt I'll ever become a player mod after years of trying and I'm happy with my skills at the moment. So what else is there to do? Nothing much. I go on occasionally to mine gold because I actually find gold mining to be fun, especially in the location where I mine it at. Of course, I will go on every now and then to talk to friends, maybe get a level or two, or if it's pouring outside in the summer and there's nothing else to do, but otherwise, I'm a Runescape veteran. Also, because of my hiatus from Runescape I don't want anybody I know to quit because of my decision. That goes to you, Caitlin and Chase. My Runescape character is developed and advanced, however yours still have many steps to take.

So what are the reasons that I didn't post? Hunting, school work, and being outside more in the beautiful and warm spring weather. Oh yes, I actually had no motivation to type up an entry. That's probably the most major problem there.

I'm at school now in advanced world cultures, first period, in the computer lab. Yes, it feels good writing a blog entry eight in the morning during a school day while being located at school. We don't do much in this class. I think that almost everybody in here are playing games, on MySpace, or maybe actually working on their outline/research paper that we have to do. I did mine last night so I'm off the hook. I still have to study for the English test that I have fifth period. However, our English teacher hardly gave us a worthwhile review yesterday and I have absolutely nothing to study from, besides a bunch of scribbles. I fear that this may be the first test of the year that I may bomb. I feel, mentally, that I'm slacking during this last quarter of the school year. That's just how I feel. It's the first of May and the last day of school is around the 11th of June. This year went by fast, and it's already coming to an end. I remember at the end of the summer last year, I was regretting that school was here already in the fall and I wished I could relive the summer. But I think I may be reliving the summer this year because the last nine months just did not seem to exist. And I'm doing things differently this summer than last. Last summer was a waste. I stayed in my bedroom more than half of the summer playing Runescape. I want this summer to be more wild, and filled with more real world adventures besides adventures sitting behind a computer screen. Let's only hope that this is a good summer, weather-wise.

Well, I'm going to go watch Sean play this bowling game and possibly study for English. Actually, I may play that game with Sean now. He found a two-player mode. I have a huge Spanish project to do tonight too. It may be the end of the year, but it's hard as hell. Plus, at the end of the year you hardly have any vacation days or snow days so...we have school all the time.

Have a good one.
