Addicted to Runescape

Hello everyone, it is I, Chase. I have brought with me some interesting stories about my runescaping adventures. First, i will list all of my levels:

Attack=31
Strength=31
Defense=32
HitPoints=35
Magic=34
Ranged=30
Rune Crafting=25
Crafting=28
Prayer=29
Mining=48
Smithing=40
Fishing=41
Cooking= 42
Fire making=30
Woodcutting=30
Quest Points=36
Total Combat=40
Total Level=514

Those are my levels. Recently I have been working on many different skills, but I mainly focused on smithing, prayer, and magic and ranged. I do offers for smithing, and slowly creep my way up. An offer is when another player asks you to make him armor for money. I have a great business and bring money in by the bushels. I also have ranged. I trained my range to 30 with my 750 iron arrows from a mysterious stranger, and used my equipment a lot too. I wear studded body and chaps, a coif, leather vambraces, boots, and gloves. I also have my trustworthy amulet of accuracy. In no time I reached my goal and moved over to magic. My goal for magic is level 43 so I can super smelt. I am 34, but real close. I am a fire mage( I fit in with my mage team perfectly) and usually use fire strike with my fire staff.. I make 400 air runes by runecrafting and 200 mind runes. I make double minds and triple airs. Then I use them all either in the wilderness or the scorpian pit mine. I recently discovered the many uses of guilds, and visit two often. the Champions and Cooking guilds. The one guild I want to visit most is the prayer guild. If I get 31 prayer I can go and achieve all of the benefits. i am 29, so only two more levels to go.

Now for my adventurous fun. I ventured with my two friends into the Edgeville dungeon and splurged on all of the goodies. While my friends held off the monsters, i got plenty of brass keys. Now i go in the easy way and fight Hill Giants like you would not believe. Since it is a free for all place, me and my team just tear through them. I also have been making several trips to the bone yard and the Bandit Camp in the wilderness. I go pking all of the time. I usually will go alone, but sometimes I bring my team with me. I have pked at least 25 people so far. I also mastered the Draynor Dungeon, finding the anvils and the secret passage. I also accidentally went to this weird place. I think it is called Crandor, but I am not sure yet. I spent a lot of time trying to find new places, but I usually get scared and run. i also mastered the stronghold of security. I beat all levels and got all the prizes including my rainbow boots. My crafting is growing steadily, mostly because I make jewelry and enchant them right away. I make a ton of money doing this. My fishing is 41 and I am splurging on lobsters. i make a ton of money and am doing well. I also ventured into the Varrock sewers to fight Moss Giants. They are big and tough, but I can get the job done. I like the teleportation spells I can use, and often use them even if I do not need to. I like to steal stuff with telekinetic grab as well, but It is too costly in the end. I ventured all around Gielinor and found a lot of things I did not even know existed. I want my cooking 45 and fishing 50 so i can catch and cook the grand slam of all free world fish, sword fish.

I get bored a lot when I am the only one playing. For this reason my stats just grow out of repetitive boredom. The skills are not boring it is just the loneliness I guess. I brought one of my friends to fight some level 28 hobgoblins, and he died. i felt terrible and had to make him a lot of stuff in return. I also found some game secrets. I found a secret path through the wilderness and to the wizards tower. Also, I was sent to ScapeRune two times in one week. i met this one guy who was there for two whole months. I escaped both times, and barely came out alive. i also got two genie bottles in one day, so that made me leaps and bounds happier. Obviously, I used them on prayer. So to sum everything up, I have been having a ton of adventures, and learning a lot in the process. I will post again this week, as a continuation of this one. So for now, goodbye.

Volunteering

Hello, it's Caitlin. I have been in a writing mood the past few days so this may be a long entry. We'll just have to wait and see. :P

I didn't have the greatest week. I was not feeling or doing well, to the point where I had an emergency and had to go home Wednesday after 3rd period. I just did not feel good at all, and continued to not be so well the next day. I am doing much better now, I hope I can say anyways, but feeling bad makes it hard to get through school sometimes. I don't like being sick, who does? =/

Today I went in to volunteer at the library again. It just keeps getting more and more fun for me! I absolutely love it there =) Maybe you can't relate, but I have been going to libraries for years and always wished I could spend hours there to just search and stay there for awhile. xD Now I actually have that chance, and it's pretty fun ^.^ I came in for three hours today, and went right upstairs to meet with Mark, who is a 9th grader that works there. (Boy! When he told me for the first time today he was only in 9th grade I almost fainted. He looks like he could be a senior, and I thought he was, so I was shocked I am actually older than him :P) Mark is a really funny kid, and easy to talk to. I get along with him very well as he is very friendly. I helped him around upstairs this afternoon, and he gave me the big whoop-de-doo tour of the crazy confusion order of the children's books. He has got to have that library memorized inside&out, because I was like "woah." Then, it gets better! He taught me how to help patrons by showing me what to do on the computer in order for me to check books in and out for people. I was SO SO excited! I couldn't stop smiling, I ALWAYS wanted to do that!!! I was like jumping up and down. =) Ah Ah Ah I loooovvveee scanning books and hearing that "beep, beep, beep" sound, saying "Have a nice day!" to people and sitting behind the desk as if I actually work there! (: Haha, yeah, so I am a little stoked, that's alright though, I mean, I feel so privileged and I have tons of fun. My friend John was there volunteering again and he is really funny, yet scary. :P Before I get to the funny part, he and I were talking for a little and I found out that according to him I am technically getting volunteer hours much earlier than needed to join the National Honor Society, and that this year he thinks I only need to meet the other requirements, but it's good to get an early start and won't hurt. This isn't bad news or anything, I enjoy volunteering very much, and it will look terrific on a college transcript paper of stuff you do that I volunteer in the community. xD Hehe ^^ Okay so back to John, he was jokingly calling me names like "loser" in front of these two little girls and I was getting all into it and the little girls were like to John "I am gonna call the police on you! Stop calling her names! We'll get you in trouble and say you killed her." John replies "WhAT!? I didn't kill her, what will you do when the police see she's alive and you lied! Huh, huh HUH!?" and they go "Well, we will make her go hide!" And I was laughing like nuts, because the whole thing and more was just so funny. Then John pretended to act dead to show the little girls he could, and he literally laid flat on the tabletop and rolled around moaning. It was a good time, and we had doughnuts, and then everyone including Mark kinda just fooled around until John left. Then I put some books away, and Mark had his laptop with him so I told him how I want one and we talked about dial-up connections and how slow they are, but he brings his laptop to the library which anyone can do and use their free fast connection. My gooodnessssss!! He was on YouTube loading music videos so music could play for the kids, and he asked out loud to nobody in particular, "Name a song!" so I yelled out "Make you smile by Plus 44!" and I guess he typed it in because the next thing I knew it started playing and I flipped out, ran over, sighed, and went over to exclaim how much I like that song and how shocked I am that music like that can just load uber fast and how I have spent hours searching on my home computer to listen to that song somewhere on the internet where it worked yet came up empty-handed. Then he let me sit by his laptop for a little while so I could listen and maybe search for more songs I liked, while I was finishing up some of my Math homework, but then he had to go. He was about to go when he was told of one more job to do (bringing an old refrigerator downstairs) and I was going to help him. Well, we went and got a dolly, and then when Mark opened the fridge there was that gross-smelling water that drips from air-conditioners inside, I forget what it's called, and it started spilling everywhere and got on the carpet and I was just standing there, not knowing what to do, and I told Mark to go get the librarian. :P Haha it was hilariousss and I can't help but laugh! xD So he told the librarian and she said just let it go for now, & then he went home, I surfed the internet for a while, signed on Runescape for 5 minutes so my brother could trade me some items he had saved for me, did a math problem, then checked out my OWN books, and went home ;-)

As you can tell, I had a good day volunteering. I wish Steve would have came once or twice since I think he'd like it. :P I asked him awhile back if he wanted to go and collect hours, but now as someone might have filled me in wrong and we may not need hours right away (I'm not sure) he doesn't have to, unless he wanted to, like me xD To be honest, I don't know how many or when I need hours anymore. I know some of my friends got a number of volunteer hours collected over the past summer and they told me I needed it, but either way I guess I'll have it and it can only help me, y'know? (:

I played Runescape last night for a little bit and then this morning. I have been working on fighting random monsters to raise my Strength and Defense levels, so they are at least 30 like my Attack. Then I think I want to go back to mining and smithing, magic, and ranged. I want to try raising all the levels of stuff I have tried out, tied with my other skills at a minimum of lvl 30 :P I was fighting Barbarians for awhile because I simply wasn't in the mood to go down in the Security Stronghold. It's not as exciting and packed with people down there xD On my way to drop off items in the bank, this one guy started following me and said "Hello", I replied and he asked "How are you?" I continued the conversation, saying I was "Fine, and you?" I usually ignore this type of thing but I guess I felt like talking to someone, lol. He wanted to be my friend, and had levels higher than me so I just said "um sure" to be nice. I told him I was fighting barbarians at the moment and he took me down that manhole behind Varrock to fight skeletons and scorpions but I didn't follow him for that long because my brother scared me saying he was going to take me somewhere where I could be attacked and die. Haha. Therefore I logged out and "hid" for awhile, but I think I'll stay down in that manhole for awhile, we'll see what happens. :]

Now it is time for my Daily Blog Special. I signed up on my friend Audrey's site to be sent a weekly Girly Newsletter. I read it today and it had some neat fun facts and the celebrity of the week was this cute singer I like, Teddy Geiger, pictures included. I thought I'd share some of my favorite facts and two adorable pics of Teddy as my DBS thanks to Audrey and her fun newsletter she puts together. (:

New Layout?

After celebrating our 300th post here at Buddy Foote's Blog v.2, I'm wondering if it is time for change here again. When I say change, I mean a great layout with the new Blogger beta additions such as the labels. When I say change, I mean saying good-bye to the blackness of BFBv.2 that we have seen in the background since July 24th, 2005 and moving on to a more complex design. To if any of this will actually pull through is a different story though, as the layout editor for Blogger beta seems very limited to me, it is without a doubt that Caitlin, who made the blog template we're currently enjoying as of today, and I will whip something up. To whether it be abstract, solid, or geometric, we will whip up some new layout. However with the new widgets and everything, it's going to complicated to a simple-minded person like myself. Hopefully Caitlin as the HTML knowledge to make up for my hiding talent. Main point though is that new changes will occurring in the future, and hopefully regular readers of BFBv.2 will agree with the changes, as it does help in navigating around the site which is a must as the site is growing more and more every week in blog posts and new and old readers alike can easily go through posts. This may not be a big deal for anybody, but it is for us here at BFBv.2, and especially myself as I hate change, but it's a must to catch on with the modern world. To actually see any changes, you're going to have to wait until well after Christmas. This process is going to take awhile, and just like the value that separates the bad movies or video games from the good ones is the time put into them, and how long it takes.

I have one thing to say: expect silver.

In other news...

I went with Jenifer and Bobby to Cinamark in Moosic yesterday evening to see Borat, as he was in the theaters for the last day yesterday. I have one thing to say about the movie -- it's freaking hilarious. Just the fact that the majority of the movie wasn't staged and many of the events were real and people did not know that they were being filmed until after anything happened is priceless. Just the character of Borat himself is great! The naked fight scene just puts the cherry filling in the pie and completes the movie. I'm not going to ruin anything else, but if you haven't seen it already, get Borat when it comes out on DVD.

Now I'm going to go and teach myself how to create a layout, and also how to fool around with hacks. Have a good one.

Hitchhiker In Runescape

While I was doing my math homework in my hallway after school today, my mother, who was on the computer, yelled to me that Craig was talking to me online. So I quickly ran in and spoke with him for probably less than five minutes and he told me a strange tale that he allowed me to share on the blog about a certain glitch that occurred in Runescape, and he even has a picture to go along with it.

Craig told me that he was coming back from finishing a slayer task in the desert when he was about to use the fairy ring teleportation system to get out of there. He must've clicked on it at the time a jackal was wondering by, as it hitchhiked with him all the way to Zanaris through the fairy ring. He said that when he arrived in Zanaris that a jackal came running out from underneath him, and walked around a bit until it vanished. That's a very interesting glitch that I'm going to one day try out when I'm bored on Runescape -- to try and abduct things that are around me. Maybe it was a one time ordeal, who knows? When Craig told me that he picked up a hitchhiker, I thought that somebody must've been passing by or standing on the portal and when he teleported, he took them with him. But besides a human, it was a jackal. Very cool story and thinks for allowing me to share it, Craig.

On the way out of school today, Craig was telling me that he was going to attempt to go and get a fire cape in Runescape when his total skill level reaches 1600. I then replied that I'll probably not get the chance of getting the cape until I'm in college, as between my internet connection, my computers that either cause extreme lag or have tons of pop-ups, and the fact that I cannot play Runescape half the time without being called by my family to do something. I'd be in the middle of fighting the level 702 in the last wave and my mother will be screaming at me to hook the dog outside. Thankfully Craig was nice enough to offer his desktop whenever I want to do the fight caves for the cape, but I'll only do it if I'm really desperate. Why? I'm not a guy too keen on combat nor quests, mini-quests, or even mini-games. Games like Pest Control and Castle Wars I can only stand for a few games, then I'm no longer interested. I'm more interested woodcutting, fishing, or doing a skill. I'm mainly a skiller but with a combat level, which people point fingers at me and say, "Yea, it's because it's your main account." Well, do I have another accounts that this is my main account? No. And I never will, unless I wanted to go around bullshitting as a f2per and a level three while people call me a 'noob' and I say that I have a level 126 to back me up (which would be myself [or Craig] at the time). I just like to skill mainly, and I'm only into combat because of slayer. I swear, if it wasn't for slayer, I'd be hunting, woodcutting, fletching, and fishing right now. But am I? No, because I'm writing a blog. Oh, I got you!

I also got a new idea that I applied at school today during computer class. I realized that I never had the time to go on BlogExplosion that much anymore, and that I'd rather be taking the time to be chatting, playing Runescape, or broadcasting "The Bear Radio". Maybe to even do more important things like studying and reading. My idea is to use BlogExplosion during computer class at school. I can go on, look at the blog quickly for five to ten seconds that comes up when I'm surfing them, get back to work, and then quickly bring up the window, click the correct number to continue surfing, and slowly gain some credits. Today I was earning credits to do a Battle of the Blogs today, but I just got a Gmail notice saying that we were defeated, again, so from now on I'm just going to assign credits to the blog to gain some traffic and, hopefully, some permanent traffic.

I'm in the mood today for...

"Comment Those Keywords!"

"quitting runescape having drop party december 25th of christmas"

Upon looking at the keywords that this blog receives, I noticed this one straight away by the length of it compared to the little keywords around it, and then I began to laugh. Why? In the past here at BFBv.2, we have seen a keyword where a guy was asking the search engine what the best PC world was, and I think they were also buying or selling something to the search engine Runescape-related but that was a different guy. Now, this guy is putting up an advertisement through a keyword and y'know, it worked because I'm displaying it in flying colors right here. So this guy is having a drop party in Runescape on Christmas, or is trying to find a guy who is having a drop party during Christmas. Now, if you go to Runescape Community, I remember reading that this one guy was, so maybe this searcher was referring to him, or maybe the searcher is that guy, or maybe even a different guy having a drop party that very day? Who knows?

But if nobody shows up, can I have your items please?

"runescape: clue scroll panic on the pier"

I was looking at this keyword and I'm not even going to directly comment it (what is there to comment? -- it's a searcher looking up how to do the new emote scrolls probably) but for some reason I was thinking that they should have a scroll that reads "Panic at Pete's" which is, of course, Party Pete's place and then...you can panic at the disco!

"what does the stranger random event in runescape"

He's involved in the Desert Treasure quest and if you're carrying one of the four diamonds in your inventory, there is a risk that he can pop up and attack you. Watch out though, as I believe he has a dragon dagger that is poisoned .

"how to get into seers village bank upstairs- runesc"

I don't know if you're referring to Runescape Classic by the "runesc", but by my knowledge of Runescape 2 standards, there's a ladder in the eastern section of the bank by the deposit box that you can use to get upstairs in the bank.

"blog de zezima"

Oh! Oh! I can translate this keyword into English! I can do it!

blog de Zezima translates into Zezima's blog!

Oh, I know my basic Spanish pretty good.

That is all from me for today. I just want to quickly mention that this blog post is number #300 of BFBv.2 and we'll be starting off fresh with #301 next entry (fresh as in a new hundred value).

Have a good one.

Surveyy Funn

Hey all. I promised myself I'd try writing a blog entry today and I intend to keep that promise (: Well, I stayed after school today to sign up with my friend again to be a part of my school's drama club for the Spring Musical, Fiddler on the Roof. I just signed up for tech crew again, because I don't think I have the patience to be in the actual play, although I'd still like to help. I put down that I am interested in Stage Crew and Set painting, but props would be cool too. During this year's fall play I was on costumes and stage crew. I like stage crew because you are sort of in the real play without having to speak any lines. You are moving stuff in the background and act as an extra. For example, last play we all wore lab coats so when we came out it would appear as if we were just doctors running around. I heard set painting is pretty fun and you get to paint all day on a Saturday. My friends put it down so I did too. Hopefully all goes well, and I am placed in something I can handle and would enjoy. ^^

I haven't gotten around to actually playing Runescape, even though I wanted to last night, had the time, and the same goes for tonight. It turned out I wanted to listen to the famoys Foote Radio, you may have read about in Steve's previous entry, a whole lot more. :P My computer doesn't allow me to multi-task, and if I dare try to open Runescape and have audio playing, my computer is as good as ice. (Since it would freeze..get it? Yeah I don't make sense :P)

I was given a good idea I totally forgot about to tell a story in my blog entries when there is nothing current worth writing about. I think I will definately start doing that. I would have right now, but I started out rambling about drama so I didn't want to have such a mix-up by jumping into some weird ol' story from my past just yet :P I am going to go see if I can get a fun daily blog for ya'll. ^.~

Foote Radio

Right now I'm sitting around during a nice and calm Monday evening while streaming music from iTunes by wireless means from my desktop downstairs to my laptop upstairs, then I have my microphone set up and the talk on Google Talk going so that Caitlin can listen to what I like to call "The Bear Radio", but for the sake of the blog title, I used Foote Radio. I just imitate the voice of my biology teacher (which he has a very cool accent of sorts) and play some tunes. We call him "The Bear" due to the closeness of his last name to bear, and well, the other reasons I actually do not really know. Anyhow, I feel like posting more to keep the blog updated more often as I realized that the majority of blogs that do well on the internet at least update more. Funny, BFBv.2 has four blog members and only two of them (Caitlin and I) were seen in the last month. But don't worry, Chase has actually a lot of blogs written down on paper and Jen, well, her internet is down. I'm doing my job here and keeping the place up-to-date, which I haven't been doing too much lately.

At school today we got a new cultures teacher. Since our cultures teacher retired at the beginning of the school year (pretty weird, eh?) we went through two others who kept on switching on and off. We had (I'm using real names) Shaka since Morcom retired, and then we had Rosenkran for only a week in October -- the week before Columbus Day. I only remember that week because I was absent that Friday and still as of that day never got an excuse card. Maybe because Rosenkran is now our permanent teacher maybe I'll be able to get the slip from him, but now that I was absent last Thursday and Friday when it was Shaka's last days, how in God's name will he know to give me an excuse card? Me telling him? Like that will ever happen... no, I'll eventually inform him of all three days. I'm sort of against the choice that Rosenkran was given the full-time job as Shaka deserves it. He put work in for more than two months creating lesson plans, tests, quizzes, homework assignments, and having to haggle with the grade book for another fellow teacher to take his position. Not a smart choice at all. Shaka was the man, and in memory of him I created a Mii of him on my Wii.

Speaking of the Wii, I will hopefully get pictures and videos of it in action created by me eventually but don't hold your breathe on it. I'm not a person who can do a lot. I go to school, and then it's time for bed. That's how I am, that kind of person. Lazy? I think so. Unless if there's no homework or tests (rare event) then I just hop on the computer and plant myself there until ten to eleven at night.

I feel bad. I was supposed to go hunting last Saturday but I didn't feel good enough to walk around in the woods and even to shoot a gun, so I stayed home. I thought that this coming Saturday was the last day of hunting for deer, but...it was last Saturday, which I found out Saturday night. I feel bad because I let my father down this year with no deer yield. I also feel bad because my deer streak is destroyed, and I have to begin a new reign in the woods next year.

I'm out! Have a good one.

Moralities in Runescape

Quick blog-related notice before I rant on: I was sick last Thursday and Friday with a bad stomach bug which is the reason you haven't seen a "by Buddy Foote" at the bottom of any blog posts lately, but I thought that while I feel a tad bit better that I should contribute to the blog, as Caitlin seems to be the only one with the wind still in her here, thank God. Saturday we were invited to upgrade the blog to the new Blogger beta, and we followed the invitation link and upgraded (I know in the future somebody will ask if that's why we have "v.2" in the title of the blog, and right here I'll say no). I was excited that we got the upgrade, but I was quickly disappointed. For the labels, I expected a nice little HTML code that we'd plug into the template on the left side bar for them to display, but no; we need to upgrade the template interface to the very annoying, buggy, and limited layout editor which will delete our current layout and we have to face the dreaded widgets or whatever they are that was put into the coding for the templates. As of now, we're staying the same, but in the future hopefully something can be worked out. Caitlin and I are going to invest our time into working out a solution. But mainly for only two features: the labels, and the "older posts" and "newer posts" links at the bottom of the page. Only time will tell what the future of the blog will be like, and hopefully it's great and shiny.

Now to your main purpose for being here:

Runescape. I'm beginning to slowly hate the very game that I've been playing and enjoying for more than a year. Why? Do I hate the updates that Jagex make? Heck no! I never went up against an update of theirs yet, and I don't plan on it unless they did the most idiotic action a video game company can place in their game. Is it that I'm becoming bored? No, sometimes I'm too overwhelmed to know what to do, and the only way I maintain sanity is to direct myself back to my set goals. Right now I want to resume training hunter, but I need to stick to my goal of combat and slayer.

What the problem is are the people in Runescape. Yes, the very people that place the MMO on the RPG. The population in Runescape is mostly newer players than the older ones from Runescape Classic, and what are referred to as "Runescape 2 Products" from the legends who played the game almost the second it went online. I am considered a "Runescape 2 Product" myself, but I don't care about any label that is placed on me. What I care about is that the moralities in Runescape are horrible. The people in Classic, from what I read, were mostly nice individuals who were mature enough to respect the ones that they play one, and to carry on intelligent conversations without any fear of others interrupting their time together, but rather to join their balance and contribute to the meeting. This is seen in my basic visit to f2p to visit Caitlin or Chase, but the opposite mostly occurs. I hang out with either one or the other, following them around while enjoying a talk when somebody will wander up to us, and follow me or trade with me like crazy asking me to give them things, showing off expensive items to me and running away, or trying to annoy me. I don't give any rude outbursts but I just politely follow along or tell them I have nothing (because I rarely carry anything with me in f2p -- Chase went to Karmaja once and I couldn't because I didn't have the 30 gp on me) and they either bother me more, or just run off as they figure they won't waste their time begging to a man who has nothing. Now if somebody out of the blue followed us, said "hi" nicely, and joined us in conversation politely without disturbing the balance Chase or Caitlin and I had the whole time, then that person is getting a mark in my friend list and he or she is a mature individual, and I'll bow down to them. However most mature people tend to keep to themselves, like myself, but I'm just saying that if one of these people who wandered up to me on my visit to f2p (or even my standard time on p2p) were nice, polite, and mature, my world would flip upside down.

The problem: More than half of the Runescape population nowadays is not like this. The word "noob" (or some form of it) is probably recited by 96% of the population more than once a day. People are luring others to the wilderness or into dangerous areas (Lumbridge Slayer Cave with a candle, or Ape Atoll during Monkey Madness before having the monkey greegree) more and more just for quick pixels or for dirty fun, not returning any lost items only to scam players of hard-earned items. I had many thoughts of doing the same with a clever scam that I thought of that I have never seen anywhere else, but as of recently, I refuse to ever pull it off. I've been fully pure and mature in my Runescape career since Day One back last year in late May or early June, and I expect to stay that way. And others should too follow the path of myself and the others in Runescape who are pure and mature -- the ones who follow the rules -- the ones who respect their fellow players -- the ones who do not call other players any form of "noob" but rather "friend" -- the ones who want to make Runescape a better game for all to play.

Some may think that this job is for player moderators. Heck no! Normal players outnumber player moderators by tons, and even some player moderators are corrupt. By reporting a lot of people doesn't mean you're nice to others. Probably more than 90% of the player moderators in the game are nice to others as it shows in their position, but others may just have the silver crown for reporting people, but at the same time being mean without breaking the rules. Because normal players outnumber that 90% of nice player mods, that means that normal players need to take a stand and be nice to others also because if we expect for the player moderators to be the only nice ones, then we're playing a criminal justice game, but without the justice. Don't you see that we're moving backwards? Runescape Classic was the roots, and it greatly advanced. Would you think that maybe the morality would advance also? No, it went backwards. With the growth in population came a growth in rude players, and as most people like to point a finger at and generalize, younger players. When I was eleven I remember going into chat rooms on AOL and in a room full of twenty adults, I was the only mature and nice one there. Doesn't that show that not all younger players are irresponsible and immature? If anything, the younger players without the real life pains hitting them over the head like taxes, work, college, money, etc. should be more cool than an older player who may take out his real life pains in-game.

Here's an example: Today while on my way to the Lumbridge Swamp to the hut located in it to teleport to Zanaris on my way to the slayer master, a guy comes out of nowhere and follows me for a second before he asks, "Can I buy your d skirt?" I reply as nice as I can, "Sorry, not for sale =(" Then he states that he has a mega offer and sends me a trade request, which I accepted to see. He puts up a new treasure trail item, the sleeping cap, and nothing else. I close the trade window and say "No thanks." He then calls me a "nubs", runs off with the sleeping cap on his head, and starts killing a giant rat with his whip. Now this was a level 96, but combat level has nothing to do with how a player is or how his stats are, therefore reflecting on this guy. Then as I'm walking, I have the camera zoomed in to me and positioned at the guy and I see him yelling "Froob!" Then he comes and chases me yelling "Froooob!" Thankfully I was at the hut at this point, so I just equipped my staff, and entered the hut to be teleported to Zanaris. Then, as soon as my form appeared in the center of the fairy ring and I take a step out, this guy with a dragon long follows me and yells, "My love!" Then he runs off toward the fairy ring as I resume walking away. Funny thing -- I got this whole paragraph on film, but I did not have the time to get it online. Now this shows the reason why people are immature. Just because I didn't trade a guy, he comes after me with cyber-offensive words? Then as soon as I'm away from him, I'm harassed with a random comment by a stranger? Shows the only reason why I hate Runescape -- the majority of the people are like this.

The honest and good people of Runescape need to rise up and do something to motivate these poor-character individuals to boost their goodness to others in the game, and to make the very MMORPG of Runescape a great game for all! I'm already starting to create the "Anti-Noob Foundation of Runescape", which is to eliminate the use of the term "noob" and anything to do with it. In Runescape Classic, as I read, the term "noob" was hardly heard of. It's a very vague term and can be taken differently by all, but also can be shot at somebody with a meaning only the shooter may hold. If somebody says, "a noob was following me around Varrock begging for 28 mil gp!" then why couldn't this person say that a beggar was following him around? Why not a 'lower leveled character'? Why not a 'person expecting too much for nothing'? Something, please, be used other than "noob". I never called anybody a "noob" or myself a "noob". I'm against the word, and the people who use it as their power of mouth against others. Calling something about yourself a "noob" I can see as you might be kidding around or think it's a low standard you have about yourself (a low skill, non-expensive bank net worth) but that's as far as it goes for me, and I still hate it even. Think the same as me or even different, please contact me in the comments of this post.

That's enough ranting from me. I know I didn't even touch the surface of my rant yet and I didn't really seal up my current outburst (I never do, but that's what makes the person I am) but please, take something I said into consideration. Are you a nice person? Then tell me. Are you a 'naughty' person in-game (nothing dirty, you pervert)? Then tell me.

I'm out. Have a good one.

I Like To Wrestle

Hey my friends of cyberspace. Caitlin here, reporting for blog writing duty. Err..yah. (; Well, let's see what's new. I am an official library volunteer! I started last Saturday, getting three hours in. Today I went again for 4 hours. It is really fun. They got me started putting DVDs, Large Prints, Adult Fiction, and magazines away. Today when I came in they were hanging some more Christmas decorations, and had me "fluff some faux wreaths" for the windows. After that I had my biggest project yet. I had to go upstairs and organize the rack of Children's books for sale. I had to decide which ones were in bad condition and not worth a quarter. It took me awhile, and all the books ended up not being able to fit. Anyways I finished early again because the librarian told me that in December, because of the holidays, there isn't as much work for volunteers to do. I was alright with that, I mean, the librarian begged me to go on the internet. Honestly, I am not the girl you have to beg to go on the internet, so I was more than happy to say "Yes ma'am!" I proceeded to check my email, visit this very blog, and sign onto Runescape where I was flodded with private messages, mostly from my brother who was so excited I was on when he was. It was a first in like..our life :P It was so much fun though. Buddy Foote came down there too, and my brother led the way. I only had less than an hour, and wish it would have lasted longer. Chase made me go to an island I forget the name of, then down a hole where I nearly died! Thankfully I didn't, but it was scary because I absolutly did not see the exit out of that cave place. Therefore I panicked :P I couldn't even log out! I am going to play Runescape after this post as a matter of fact. (:

The school week seemed to have flew by. Steve was sick the last two days, and it was my job to make sure he knew what he missed. I hope he is feeling better now though. Yesterday I went to my friend Heather's house. At first I told her I couldn't go up to the barn because it was freezing and wasn't dressed for the cold. She got pretty upset with me, and I, not knowing what to say, hanged around with her mom for an hour until Heather forgot about it :P I guess she can be like that sometimes. We watched TV most of the time, talked, played Scrabble, then we put blankets and pillow all over her bedroom floor to lie on. We ended up rolling into this silly fist fight/pillow fight. Woah she literally beat me up! Haha see I stood up and stepped on her legs, and she slapped me across the face. I pulled her ponytail and she tried to choke me with my sweatshirt. I muffled her with a pillow and tickled her to death, then ran in a corner and faked crying so she wouldn't attack me back. Man, it was SO fun :P Aw I love her though, haha :P I have a thing for fake physical fighting and wrestling once in awhile. Sometimes I think I even get my brother annoyed to the point where he attacks me just so I can fight him and use my strength, like a workout. Wow that must sound really strange, but I'm serious. xD -makes a tough face- j/k

Now I think I should try rapping this up as I need some precious Runescape catching up time. =) I barely want to end this blog entry now, I am in a really good mood. ^.^ I hope everyone else can be too. ;D

Radically Random...

Below is a story I told about two months ago to my good friend to cheer her up when she was down. Two names were changed simply for privacy reason. It's a funny nonsense story, my friend did like it by the way, I had saved for a while waiting to share it =) If you don't understand, don't worry about it. ;P

Once upon a time, there was a sophomore named fott, and he always hung out with two of his good friends Adam and Zach. they had some good times. one day fott invited Zachee, and Adamdo (these are the boys' real names given by their mommies whom may i mention one gave birth to Zach on a bridge at a mall we know of.) to his home (a home is where Fott lives at). they went NUTS! Zachy liked to eat fott out of dunkaroo's and home. and Adam kinda sat and stared into space wondering how those egytpians built such large pyramids from cult class. once they got bored of such activites, fott suggested they play 'talk of the future', a game where fott acted smart. Zach couldnt stand this game! he got so mad he yelled "PUNCH THE CHICKEN IN THE FOOT YA FOTT!" and announced he would not play unless fott gave him some more dunkaroos. so fott, being nice, gave Zach his 5th dunky. all this time keep in mind Adam resorted to humming 'hung up' by madonna while doing a weird dance. this took up so much time, they never got to play fott's game. it was now time to eat toothpaste for dinner and boy Zachy was so full from the dunkerz he barely ate half his tube! Adam in the meantime was starving and ate the rest of zacht's for him. zach and adam then thought fott was kinda boring that night. and headed for home. they said bye to fott, then walked down the street and talked aloud. Adam announced he was nervous about this upcoming event, and Zach said he was nervous too because the reason he nevr went last yr was cuz he figured all girls hated him. Adam reassured him that wasnt true. then they both sighed and kept walking into the sunset down the street secretly thinking the thoughts in their heads of these two... As they walked, fott ran a mile around the block to get in shape, thinking of frogs and how flipflops remind him of such. then the sun set in the thing above our heads called sky. THE END.

New Wii

Last Wednesday I said farewell to my broken Wii, and sent it off to the UPS shipping service to be exported from this area and up to New York (which is the northern neighboring state, so not so far) and went totally Wii-less for a week. I was Wii-less even longer before then as my Wii broke the day right after it came out on November 20th. A week later, today, I came home from school to be rushed out the door to go get my physical at my doctor's when my mother quickly show me a box and said, "It's here." Well, while at the doctor's, I was thinking about the Wii most of the time (the other thoughts were of the three shots that I was getting and the uncomfortable physical) and how it may be the same console but fixed, or a whole new exchanged console. Or, if they just shipped the same one back, but broken. I'd flip out if they did, and throw the damn Wii out of the new living room windows. But luckily, the Wii worked, and it was a whole new one. Setup was a lot quicker though, because I already had the sensor bar and all the wires in their place, but just no console to plug them into. Actually, I had a little scare when I got home and tried the Wii. It's dark behind my wide screen TV and I'm practically color blind between the colors white and yellow (bad thing Runescape-wise concerning the mini-map) so I plugged the audio cord in the video, and vice versa. So, when I turned my Wii on to try it, the screen remained black as it did while my old one was broken. I was about to flip out when I realized I put the outputs in wrong, and quickly switched them to be greeted to the Wii actually showing up on my TV screen. "Press A to continue."

Craig later came over today as I was to tutor him for the Spanish test that we're taking tomorrow, and after studying which was around twenty to eight, we popped downstairs and played the Wii. As this console is new, that means the whole bunch of Miis my mother and I made were gone, and we quickly tried to make replicas of some, but besides Craig's Mii and my culture teacher's Mii (who wasn't on the old console), the rest didn't look the same at all. The fact of the Miis made me sad by itself, but then I realized that my Zelda save file would too be gone. That's not so bad though, as I wasn't too far -- but I don't know how I did this one thing that I did on my old save file, so hopefully I'll happen to do it again. Zelda is going to be my first console game where I'm not going to try and use a guide online, or published. Back to Craig and I playing the Wii: we played tennis, bowling, and golf. Craig, having played my old Wii, was very familiar with the controls, and even found out some things that I never knew. Sad, as I own the console and game, but damn you can give something to Craig and he'll find something unique about it -- he's amazing like that. The controls in the golfing game are sometimes pretty cheap, and the only controls I like are the tennis, bowling, and boxing controls. Baseball is just too hard to get used to right away. I really want Madden '06 for the Wii, as I was playing my old 2002 Playstation 2 version of the Sega Sports football the other day and realized how faulty it is. I also want Call of Duty 3, it looks sick and I heard the controls are amazing. Did I read any guides yet -- no. Should I? -- why? I like experiencing things without doing my research --only in video games though. Reviews just make you think that way about the game while playing it, so I'm going to try and stay away from them.

I think I'm going to go and look over my Spanish verbs a little bit more and then go downstairs and play the Wii with my mother for an hour. Hopefully this weekend I can get some Wii pictures up.

"Comment That Keyword!"

"runescape picture of dragon pickaxe"

As the dragon pickax is not yet out in Runescape (or who knows if it ever will be), it would be pretty hard to find a picture of it. However, I do remember that Jagex leaked an image on the top of their website a while back of the dragon pickax, but as for any in-game shots, I doubt there's any as...yet again, it's not out yet. I honestly don't think they should release dragon pickaxes. Why? Ores you can steal, trees you can't. Trees are random on when they fall down, and sometimes depending on the number of people and mostly not the ax, thus dragon axes are acceptable for that reason alone. However, ores people can steal. I'd hate to see a poor level 33 miner with an addy pickax go up against a level 89 miner with a dragon pickax mining the coal to make a rune item. Even the difference between rune and dragon would be great -- just look at the dragon woodcutting ax. There's my two cents, and now it's Wii-time for me!

Have a good one.

Big News

Woah woah woaahh =) When you think about high school, I am sure you will remember having crushes on that special person you either admired from far away or maybe you were friends with someone for some time before you realized you liked them a lot more than you thought.. I know this has got to be true for every single person. Well, the reason I am writing a blog about this is because something huge is happening and very well may happen to one of my friends, and at the current moment, another friend is even talking to me while asking how she should tell that one crush she likes him. I find it all so cute, fun, and exciting! I love helping my friends out, and being there for them to over analyze all those little details ;)

Before I go on to just ramble on about my friend's little story, I think you should know that most of my friends and me included probably act differently than anyone else would about things that happen to us. I mean, not in a bad way, but I'll refer to it as taking it as a bigger serious deal than most. Some girls may have gone through boyfriend after boyfriend, and getting a phone call from the person you like could barely mean half as much as my friends and I would take such an event. It's those little things that could make our day shine. :]

Now, my friend, met a boy whom she grew to be good friends with in the previous year or so. Let me tell you, she did not like him then at all. I'll get to the point though, by saying as this year started she couldn't force herself to stop feeling she may actually like this boy more than a friend. It was a complicated situation, but this past week has been huge. Each day she comes into school blushing like a maniac because of the adorable things he says to her on the computer. They even started to chat on the phone. My friend couldn't believe it, and I couldn't either. It was so nice, and she can't get over it. Just last night he started hinting, and basically was curious in who it was she liked. My friend, being a massive nervous walking wreck remained dead silent on the other end. So much so, he thought she hung up! Then he said he had to go and for her to call him and please answer his question. I was just on the phone with her, and all we could do was scream and say "oh my gosh!!" repeatedly. It's SO exciting. I am very happy for her. She has waited such a long time for a moment like that to come for her. We all have.

..I don't know if anyone out there can relate to my friends or myself, but just the thought of having that boy we liked a lot for so long even hint at returning those feelings is overwhelming. This is happening to one of my good friends, and it's just huge news. =)

I hope saying all that doesn't make me or my friends come across as strange. It's just fact, and well, maybe we like being a little different. :P Wow, now for a quick update! My other friend just admitted she liked her crush to the boy himself, and he admitted he had a secret too, he liked her too. =) Now if that's not cute, I don't know what is.

As far as myself goes, I don't know what it's like to have that happen, but I am sure it is one of the greatest feelings =) To me, it seems unfathomable. Liking that special someone for awhile and then finding they felt the same way. I can't even begin to describe how I'd feel... Although I doubt anything like that to ever happen to me, at least not anytime soon. I guess I am alright with that though. I mean, when you think about, or at least when I do, I feel that things will happen if they are meant to, and "good things come to those who wait." So..who knows? Maybe I'll get a chance to experience something like that one day too..
Of course, to keep with the whole theme of such an entry about those "crushes", I have a small collection of some icons & quotes about that sort of thing, and will share some with you below^^

Radically Random...

Quotes:

and lately she'd say anything to make
him turn his head.. anything to make him
laugh && just s t a r e at her

When you can't stop smiling after you
talk to him && you still get butterflies in your stomach,
&& that huge smile across your face every time
you see him, that lets you know that he will
always mean something to you.

one day you look at a person and see
more than you did the dAy before'
like a switch was flicked sOmewhere
& thAt person who was just a friend'
is suddenly the oNly person you
can [ i m a g i n e ] yoUrself with`'

Your eyes send shivers down my spine
As our eyes meet for a glance yet again
What do these glances mean?
Do you like me?
Oh Wow, I hope you do.
But if you do, why don’t you tell me?
And if I like you, why don’t I tell you?
Fear of rejection, I suppose.
But don’t you know that your glances
Are the things that I wait for each day?
Every minute ticks by and I don’t think
I can possibly stand one more minute
Without a glance from you.

I get the best feeling in the world when you say hi or smile at me, because I know that even for a second that I've crossed your mind.

It's been about 15 minutes since I ended the last sentence (which was supposed to be the end of this entry and I was going to get ready to post it) yet there was a major interruption in my household. I was continuing a conversation with my one friend on the computer when the telephone rang. I picked it, and an unknown male's voice asked to speak to my parents. I figured it was one of those telemarketers calling again from last night. I showed my disappointment in it not being a friend of mine by handing the phone over and saying "um there's some guy one the phone so here." Now wait. I can't believe this, and how ironic is the title of this very blog entry, "Big News" oh and boy does that take on a completely new meaning as I tie this blog entry together this Friday night! ..I just got word that I won first place in this Veteran's Of Foreign War - Freedom's Challenge Essay - that we had to enter at school in our English class. They would like a picture of myself brought to the VFW by next Friday, and the information for how many people will be attending the Award's banquet on January 7th of which I am cordially invited to attend. My dad was the speaker on the phone, and as he jotted down this information he started pointing to me as I sat and pondered what could have happened?! Once he got off the phone he explained to me what a big essay contest I had just won. =) He was almost in tears or something, and I am pretty excited myself..it's cool! I kept saying to him that there is NO way, I absolutely do not believe this is happening to me. I mean, it's impossible, are you sure I won?! To this minute I don't believe him, I mean, he HAD to be kidding right?! This could be huge in a way, or I don't even know what to think. Sure I was flattered by the attention I received for my essay by my English teacher, but thisss! I don't know what to think yet...but isn't it exciting anyways?! =) =) =) =) I will make sure I continue to mention this to see what comes of it.

I know this is a long entry, but I had so much to say and not enough words! =P A school day that started out stressful and packed with tests turned out to be quite a night! =) How I love writing at this blog!:]
