Dying Slowly

This is the third weekend that I slept over my sister and brother-in-law's house and I must say, my hand is sore. Their black cat, Buster, is a demon. I think he seriously a demon. I go to pet him and he freaks out and starts spazzing out at me, scratching the hell out of my hand. I pick him up and he punches me in the face with his paw, hissing loudly. Although when my sister goes to pick him up, he might only do that. For my brother-on-law, he loves him so therefore, no fights. I must say though, their cat has a Hitler mustache. Right underneath his nose is a little black mark that looks like a mustache similar to Hitler. Well, I have to say, that cat is as crazy as Hitler was. Anyway, I just love being at their apartment. Just the overall atmosphere of the place, with the cat nearby always trying to pounce on you to the yells and clashes of the pizza place downstairs, it just feels like a home to me. So, we have a lyric poem to write for English class for Wednesday and I plan on writing it on their house, just because I have a strong feeling about the place and my loved ones are there, including demon cat.

Sadly enough, my own cat, the orange one Pumpkin, is dying. I always said he was dying before (or at least I think I did) but this time, it's for real. He can hardly walk, you can practically see an outline of all of his organs and skeleton, and his eyes have this look that'll kill your heart if you look into them long enough. It seems as if he's 90-years-old and was a veteran of two wars. It's just sad. I wasn't here today to see him much because I just got home at eight from my sister's but when my mother called when I was my sister's apartment, she said that Pumpkin was lying in the corner of the computer room by the old side door all day. He did just come out a little while ago from that corner and walked into the kitchen. He's been sick since June, went to the vet multiple times, and was almost put to sleep once, but wasn't because his blood test scores were perfect. The vet claimed that he couldn't even make up blood test results they were that good. It's a mystery on how he got sick. Nobody knows why, although we cannot rule out cancer.

I've been getting back into the RPG Maker scheme of things again. For some reason I was bored Friday (or somewhere around there) and booted RPG Maker XP up after looking around my computer files. I actually started a story up, built some maps, and really got into the events. Although I will never master map design, scripts, events, variables, etc. because those things are way beyond me. Even the simple database got me confused in some parts of it. I've been reading around some forums about RPG Maker XP and realized how much I suck at normally simple programs. I don't care though. I just plan on sharing my game with friends.

I'm just going to lay back now and look around the internet because I'm just in that mood. I have school tomorrow and I don't even care, which is a very weird feeling after being worried all day and, well, everyday practically. I have that damn poem to write and only two days to write it because I was stupid and spent all day yesterday playing around with RPG Maker XP besides planning it or doing other homework so I could work on the poem today. But no...I had to go make an Xeron Lamian.

Have a good one.

"At The Bell"

First I must say that I hate when your tablets in school get full because then you have to get a new tablet meaning that all of the valuable information in your old tablet that you'll need in class may be sitting at home. I haven't run into this situation yet (thank God) but I'm heading there very shortly. The third quarter started today, I believe, which means we're entering the second half of the school year. Wow, time goes by fast when you're "having fun". But because it is now the third quarter, my notebooks are becoming filled with text and unused sheets of paper are becoming harder to find. Switching tablets would be a very hard task for me, probably resorting to the fact that I'll have to carry around two tablets for one subject. Such as math. We're now getting into proofs which means we have to refer back to older notes we took to find postulates, theoerms, etc. which surely means I cannot throw an old math tablet to the side. But you know what's really ticking me off? As a subsitute of getting a binder this year, I put all of my folders in my tablets which worked out well so far this year. However now I'm getting to the back of my tablets where I keep these folders where the folders rip and destroy the paper in the notebook. This means I might lose notes because of this or rip stuff or the like, which I disdain doing. While studying for the Spanish mid-term about two weeks ago, I started cursing when I ripped a page a little bit. It's not that I'm obsessed with being neat or anything (look at my previous post to a picture of my bed when I'm doing my homework and see how "neat" that is) but I just hate ripped paper or notes. I just felt like getting this off of my chest so if you read all of this, then you deserve a Grammy award.

Yea, I don't even understand why I just wrote the above paragraph. Anyway, "At The Bell" started today, also known as "This Program Will Turn You All Into PSSA -Taking Zombies", and we had to do the multiple choice questions today. Only some classes did this today. Actually all of my classes besides home ec. and English did it. And even beyond that, we did an open-ended question for music. And in music we do nothing more than talk and watch movies with some nudity in it. Actually there were only two scenes of nudity. It wasn't too bad however those open-ended questions that we're supposed to do on Friday are haunting me.

God I am horrible at answering questions in school. I messed up in civics and Spanish today responding to the teachers through oral speech. In civics we were discussing the Consitution of the United States and when discussing the compromises and main ideas, I answered some wrong statements which in one word sucked. And then in Spanish I was having a hard time trying to have my brain absorb all of the new information thrown at us about family members and birthday parties. Then the teacher called on me while I was writing down a translation and I answered wrong because I was behind translating a sentence prior to the one she asked me about. I only got uncle and aunt mixed up because I wasn't looking ahead at the proper noun (the name) but small things like that bother. This is why I normally keep my mouth shut in school. I learn and don't feel bad about the subject after the period is over.

Well, have a good one. Sorry about the huge and boring entry but I needed to type some problems down relating to school that I'm having.

Good Afterall?

Even though I'm still pissed at this "At The Bell" thing we're doing at my school due to our new principal, I do have to say that some aspects of it aren't as bad as I thought they would be. For example, in math today we had our first daily question of the day and it was almost basic 3rd grade math, find the number that fits in the following sequence. Then we had a daily question in pre chem which was pretty easy. It dealed with moles and molar mass. They may be easy now, but they'll turn evil within about a week. Tomorrow every subject has to do a multiple choice question and Friday every subject has to do an essay/open-ended question. This is bull if you ask me, but that's just my opinion. I highly doubt this program will help our test scores because if your grades are low and you don't try in school, then you won't try on this making your grades even worse. And Lakeland is composed of about half of these kind of people. I'd like to put it that I'm not that half though.

Anyway, in pre chem today, I got my grade back on my mid-term. Two entries ago I said that my teacher thought a friend was cheating off of me so I wasn't sure if she took off points or gave me a zero on the test. Well, I got a 104 on my mid-term and a 104 as my quarter average. Everything was okay afterall.

I'm not really in the mood for writing today so therefore you're going to get a short and sweet entry. I have a Spanish test tomorrow so I'm going to resume studying for that now. But I do have two pictures I took for no reason. Have a good one.

An Unexpected Snow Day

Being that I was at my sister's house all weekend, I didn't have my weatherman of a father around to tell me what the weather was expected to be in the upcoming forecast. Sure, I could've watched the local news but I was having too much of a good time there to even consider it. Plus they don't have cable but they still get the local channels like Fox, ABC, CBS, etc. so that ruled out the Weather Channel. So when I heard yesterday that we were supposed to get a snowstorm, I was shocked. Here we are in 50 degree weather for the past couple weeks (referred to as the January Break I believe) and we're getting a snowstorm! And in the middle of January too! God I was shocked. Okay, I'm being sarcastic now. After watching the news after I came home yesterday from my sister's I found that the snow would start falling at the perfect time for a delay or a cancellation. And when I woke up exactly at 6:16 this morning, I ran downstairs on my desktop (which is always on in the morning due to my father) and went onto WNEP.com to see if my school schedule was affected at all. Surely enough, it was. "CLOSED" You surely already know this due to the title of this entry though.

I was sort of expecting a cancellation after hearing the news. Our school, since we got our new principal, seems to be closing a lot more and earlier than it would otherwise in previous years. Example: Last week we got out early on Tuesday because we were expected to get ice. We were one of the first on TV to announce the early dismissal. We never got ice. That right there shows you how brillant our school is. Although that early dismissal was a gift from God because I had two essays to write after I came home and never would've got them done after a full school day. I was up until ten writing them, starting to write them around two in the afternoon. This also goes to show why I hate that 21 essay a week program we have at our school. It took me eight hours just to write two essays, nevertheless writing an essay in ten minutes for a certain subject.

Anyway, today after I woke up at ten, I turned on NFL 2K2. Everytime I'm at school and the people around me are discussing Madden 06 or Madden 2005 or a college football videogame, I bring up NFL 2K2. Then they proclaim that I throw that away due to the fact that it's "out-dated" and get the more up-to-date versions such as theirs. But I never would. I just have a certain passion for the game that is unexplainable. Today I resumed my season. I was in Week 11 and my team was going undefeated. The Lakeland Flurries. A team I customized myself. Wearing their orange-yellow and white uniforms, they marched onto the turf that they were to play on, an opponent's field. Lakeland was away going up aganist the home team, the Philadelphia Eagles. The coin toss takes place. Lakeland picks tails, winning the coin toss and chooses to kick the ball so that therefore they'll get the ball first in the second half. The game takes place and finally ends hours later. The outcome: Lakeland wins, 312-14. Here's the proof. This was the biggest defeat I have won throughout the whole season, with the second biggest probably being around 260-21. There's a game in progress right now (computer vs. computer) so I can't check my season stats right now. Damn I love that game.

I also had to shovel the sidewalks so I decided (during half-time of my football game) to take my Nikon 4800 outside and finally take some outdoor shots. So here are the pictures I have taken:

That's practically all I have to post for now. This day will probably fly by and I'll be faced with school tomorrow, and the essays. They start this week. On Wednesday they were supposed to start but I guess they might be pushed back, or we'll just have them tomorrow. We have the damn program in math everyday in which we have to do 11th grade math problems in three to four minutes. Screw her! My math teacher is the one with Mr. Hanni who wanted this damn program. She's getting on my nerves already. 9th grade and doing 11th grade math...damn her to hell. I don't know if that's worse, though, than when I was in 7th grade and my China-loving teacher gave us 12th grade grammar, just because we were in advanced English. But seriously, our math teacher was pretty much jumping up and down when she was telling us about her plans for the program. Oh well...

Have a good day.

Vacation From Home

Well, plenty has occured since the last time I posted and even beyond that period in time. First, however, I'd like to announce that I joined BlogExplosion. This site is truely amazing and it's driving traffic to my blog like crazy. It really works. Also while browsing through other's sites to earn credits to gain the traffic, I came to realize how my blog is empty. Sure, it has an ample amount of writing and 120+ entries at the moment, but just all of the extras I have aren't really anything extra. I have ads, a few links, and a counter. Wow! Surfing through the sites made me realize how much mine sucks. So I plan on fooling around with my blog for a while and try to add some new things to it. I may actually risk it and put a tag board up, although past experiences tell me not to. Also I think today is the one-year anniversity of Buddy Foote's Blog. Not this blog but my old one, which isn't still running hence the name version two of this one. I'm not too fond of my old blog, it's practically garbage. But I still keep it up for shits and giggles. Also I plan on having a lot more pictures on this site from now on. I think I might get my father's digital camera out and take some pictures off of there being that I'm too lazy at the moment to get up and take pictures with mine. I only like taking pictures of the outdoors, and right now it's almost nine at night. So expect some changes to happen.

One of the main reasons that I didn't post this weekend was because I slept over my sister and brother-in-law's apartment over the whole course of this weekend. Went over Friday night and came home around five in the afternoon today. That's a vacation for me right there. If you listened to my last audio blog (which is horrible like everyone I ever do) you can see that I stayed at my sister's last weekend too. I'm starting to live there. I went over Friday night with my brother-in-law while my sister was working to hook up their DSL which just arrived. I had absoultely no experience with getting DSL to work but I had more sense than they did I guess. So we got it working and spent the time on the computer most of the weekend, my brother-in-law talking to his sister and neices while my sister explored MySpace for the first time. I was able to go on a lot but their keyboard, oh God, I don't even want to discuss the keyboard. I never had such a hard time typing before. I only type with one finger (the index on my left hand) so it was practically hurting afterwards. This was like a Windows 95 keyboard. Those old ones. With the backspace being the size of a regular letter key with a little arrow pointing to the left and a turbo key by the right shift, whatever the hell that did. Plus the cap lock kept on getting jammed on me. I wouldn't dare try typing up an entry on there.

Anyway I had a lot of fun. I was pretty depressed when I left. It was just one of those depressing moments. It's getting dark outside with overcast skys and you're watching a football game in a dark room with nobody around you besides Buster, the cat, and my sister on the computer in the guest room next room over. Waiting to be picked up to go home where you have to clean up your room underneath the bed because you're getting a new matress. But you find out the matress isn't coming until Friday. I started tearing while eating a vanilla yogurt with M&M's at the kitchen table when I got home because I realized I had school tomorrow and that the great weekend was over already. Plus with these essays and multiple choice questions we have to do everyday now, I really don't look forward to school tomorrow.

Yes, school. The last two mid-terms I had to take were pre chem and math. The math was hard as hell. It was open notebook and worksheet (we don't use the book) and it was even hard. Just the questions were confusing and didn't really specify what was being asked. I stuggled through it on Thursday skipping the whole back page and about six in-between. Thankfully she gave us fifteen minutes on Friday to finish up, which I did. And the pre chem mid-term was easy, besides the fact that my teacher thought I was cheating on it. The person sitting in front of me was turned a little bit like he normally sits, turned and all, and I was discussing a problem with myself. So then the teacher asks the person in front of me, his name is Matt and he's a good friend of mine, if he was talking to me, saying that was called cheating. I responded that I wasn't cheating then a large majority of the room started shouting, "Steve doesn't cheat!" I think that saved me from a zero. If I got a zero on a mid-term, I'd have to say good-bye to my future dreams of being a cool computer teacher.

I'm starting to get back into a regular reading habit. Sure I'm always reading, but it's stuff online I'm reading. I'm either reading Runescape news or blogs or rant sites, not paper books. So I dusted off an old book I bought once and never finished reading, called "A Catcher in the Rye", and started to reread it. I can relate to the main character in many ways, besides the fact that I'm not failing four out of five main subjects and being kicked out of an all-boys school. That's not really a spoiler because he pretty much says that from the beginning. A good read nevertheless. I thought that reading would help me write and writing having to do with these essays we have in school nowadays. I was never an avid reader due to school and the internet, but hopefully I'll become one.

And you know what's really been pissing me off lately? Commas. Yes, commas. "," I never know, in my writing, if I'm using them the right way or not. And it's starting to tick me off. Am I using too many commas? I think so. That could be a problem.

I would type a lot more (because I'm just in that mood) but my left arm is killing me from stretching over and typing on my laptop's keyboard. Those things can really make you achy. I plan on going to download some program that I read about at my sister's that can edit almost anything on a website. So I think I might go "play" with that. Have a good one.

EDIT right after posting: I just remembered I wanted to say something. Even though I'm a 15-year old in 9th grade at the moment, I plan to have this very blog running as long as possible, with me moving throughout the grades of high school and then college. This very blog is the life of a "youngster" (as some would say) so by reading this, you're practically experiencing what life is like through a high school student's eyes. I just felt like pointing this out. As long as Blogger's around, this blog will be around. Plus I actually plan on buying a .com domain in the future.

Now you can have a good one.

An Essay A Day

At the beginning of the school year this year, I liked 9th grade. It seemed more care-free than previous years even though many rumors previously stated that 9th grade is the hardest grade. I just don't see that. Now, today, I have seen this year turn into a hellhold. A major plot change has occured in the midst of a masterpiece that was great until that point in time. A burden was brought down upon us, the students of Lakeland High, that'll, in the outcome, turn into a tragedy. I say a revolution is coming, and not for the better either. This is a Revolutionary War, in which the Americans lost in the end.

There's a new "program" running on at our school that'll occur until the end of this year, directed to us by our new principal, Mr. Dumbass Hanni. It's called "At The Bell" or something similar to that. In this "program", you have to either write an essay or answer multiple choice questions about the subject you're currently in. This takes place three days in a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. And we have to write an essay (or do the multiple choice) in each one of our classes, probably all besides gym. This is supposed to prepare us for the PSSA's, although the seniors of us school even have to take it and they'll never see the PSSA's again in their life. This is supposed to improve our test scores, but trying to write a good essay in ten minutes may not make our grades go up so well. I think our brains may melt, that's what will happen. And you know what's going to happen? Another walk-out, maybe a teacher strike, protests, etc. because our "quiet little country" school is rebellious like that. We had a little walk-out once just because our principal while I was in 7th grade was fired. That's nothing compared to what's going on now.

Now in some cases this may not be a big concern, however, our shitface of a principal also enforced other rules that bogus to a school like Lakeland. Where's the Kevin and King combo!?

I could go on forever about this but I'm downstairs where I can't think because my nephew is here and it's time to go to bed. My last two mid-terms are tomorrow. Night.

Market Stalls -- Player-Owned Shops

This is going to be a very long entry so put your reading glasses on, blink your eyes a couple of times, and sit back and relax if you want to read it all. This entry is sort of directed back to my old Runescape idea that I made about that whole marketplace feature, where you can sell items at stalls in an enclosed area wheras buyers walk around and browse through the stalls, buying what they want. A feature that I would love probably more than the future player-owned houses (or POH's). So yesterday I registered on the Tip.it forums and found it to be a quite friendly community. And after exploring the forums, I found their suggestion page. And I was quite happy because there was no limit to what you can suggest there. So I headed for my marketplace/player-owned shop idea and came up with this topic. However you'd have to register to view it so I'll do you the goods of posting what has occured so far in the thread, and not too much happened. But this is a much more specific layout of the marketplace feature I came up with. Enjoy.

Buddy Foote:

"Please do not flame me or exclaim that this was discussed a thousand times once before. I'm just adding my own personel input on a feature to Runescape that I believe would be great in a sense. I know that POH's are coming out in the future but this feature isn't really based around them but on something uniquly different. Here's my try on this suggestion, I hope you agree in some term:

Imagine a marketplace/flea market kind of environment with an ample amount of stalls located in every nook and corner of an outdoor area. There is a fence or some sort of wall/barrier surrounding this enclourse to where there is an enterance or two by going in and out of a building. In this marketplace, players of Runescape can have the ability to rent a stall for a sum of money to sell goods, get rid of "junk" they don't need from their bank by selling it, or for any other purpose that involves the process of selling something. Then buyers can walk throughout this marketplace, browsing stalls, and buying what they wish. This is just a small, undetailed summary of this feature -- Player-Owned Shops, or market stalls.

Let's just use the forest west of Lumbridge as an example for the rest of my suggestion. This being that this forest is sprend-out and vast, in which an area similar to that would be needed to suit such a feature. This could be the #1 problem, however, with this feature besides the stalls being filled and having to switch worlds to find a less-filled area.

For the basic seller, they would come to the markeplace with at least 27 items they wish to sell (able to be noted in which buyers will pick the amount they want from the noted item) and the money needed to rent a stall. Renting a stall can range from 1k to 5k, or beyond, meaning that in some cases, you'd have to ask yourself how much money you'll be making from renting a stall and selling what you have to offer. Once you enter the main building, or enterance into the marketplace, you can talk to the owner inside to see if there's any stalls inside to rent, and then rent them if any is avaiable. The number of items you can show at once in your shop window depends on how much you spent on the stall you're renting.

Once you have rented a stall, you're teleported to an avaiable one and a shop window appears, similar to any shop window or even the bank deposit window in Runescape. You can then drag-and-drop the item you wish to sell into place on the shop window from your inventory (or pick x amount to sell), set a price for that item each, and then continue doing the same for the rest of your items until your shop window space is full. This, again, is based upon how much you rented the stall for. You can then name your stall and open it to the public. Once you wish to leave, you must close your shop to the public and hit the 'x' button on the shop window. That stall will then become avaiable for future sellers. If you're selling anything and you log out, your shop will close automatically and that stall will be avaiable to any sellers.

Also for sellers, there is a flood control of every ten or twenty seconds that they may speak outloud to the public. This will prevent a lot of, "Selling cheap fish over here!", every second. This will not take affect for pming, however. Also if you have split-chat on, it will be visable during the selling process being that it is not possible to sell the amount of items to reach the bottom of the screen.

For buyers coming into the marketplace, all you need is money, this being for buying what you want. There is no admission fee. Enter the main building (a.k.a. enterance) and walk through it's other door into the marketplace. Then you may browse through the seller's stalls by clicking on a stall currently occupied and selecting "Browse Stall - Name of Stall". If selected, this will then bring you over to the seller's stall, opening their shop window with goods on it. Then you may get what you need at that stall, or close the shop window and continuing browsing other stalls. There is no flood control for buyers.

This is just the outline of my suggestion. I hope you at least agree with it in a way. Please comment, offer a change or addition, etc.

Have a good day."

That's pretty much the lowdown. Only one other person commented last night.

Zerocool11:

"Pretty good idea. Make a Wal-Mart of sorts on RS? lol

A way to reduce the crowding that would undoubtedly occur would be to organize the shops by what they're selling, much like forums do."

I then reply,

Buddy Foote:

"Yes, I like that idea too. I was thinking of a category type of system to have too in which you'd pick from a menu before you'd open the shop and select what you're mostly selling, fletching items, magic (runes), etc. but in your case, that wouldn't work. You'd have to pick a category before being teleported to your stall. But if those stalls were full in that category, then we'd have a problem. But an idea with a category would be a great addition to this feature.

Thanks for the comment."

He then responds again,

Zerocool11:

"Yeah, actually the option of picking what kind of stall you wanted to open would work better. And then when people entered the market they'd choose what they were looking for."

I then make two more replys, double-posting. Yep, I'm bad like that...

Buddy Foote:

"Well, I was thinking of when you ask to owner of the marketplace if there's any avaiable stalls that you're given a map of the marketplace and you're able to pick the stall you wish to rent. An avaiable stall would be blinking and you'd click on it and choose "Rent stall". Once you click this and choose to rent the stall, that stall won't be avaiable until you either cancel or close your shop and leave.

Also I was thinking that this feature may cut back on the sellers and buyers in banks. Hopefully..."

Buddy Foote:

"Sorry to double post but just for the curious reason I'd like to know if anybody else likes this suggestion. Now if Jagex, for the POH's, had a feature where you can put your house in a category, as in "shop", "party house", "farm", etc., and then from that point on your house would only serve as that purpose unless maybe you paid a certain amount to change the category. Maybe if they did that and you chose "shop", then you would get the whole shop window feature as in what I suggested. Then maybe they wouldn't need the marketplace. Or they could have both. Marketplace could be used for ones with no money (at least not a high sum) or carpentry skill to build a shop. And then when your carpentry skill is high enough and you have the money, you can build your own shop through the POH system and leave the marketplace for good unless you want to gain attention in your goods by going there."

Well, at least my idea got one vote for yes. Hopefully more will come but it has appeared that everybody was ignoring that thread and posting on ones that haven't been posted on in a week. Oh well...at least I tried. However I will keep you updated, or go join the forum yourself and see what's going on. You'll know who I am from this signature:

Or at least just the name I use everywhere, Buddy Foote.

I might be going to my sister's later on to stay for the night. I was supposed to stay over last night but we had a small snowstorm of sorts and the roads were icy. Plus neither her nor her husband felt like coming to pick me up at eleven at night. Don't ask why so late. Plus I never went to that hunting dinner yesterday but I heard from my father that it was great, and that there was an ample amount of pies.

I have to do essays today and tomorrow for those damn major mid-terms I have this week. Four essays, two for pre chem and two for English about Romeo and Juliet. It's crazy! College will be worse though...

Now I'll leave you with this insane video that shows Mario Brothers 3 being beaten within eleven minutes. There's much debate to whether it's fake by being programmed by an emulator or if it's indeed real, note that the game's language is Japenese. I watched the whole thing though. It's pretty tense because whoever did that, computer or person, is crazy.

Now I must go brainwash myself before picking up a pencil to write an essay. Hope you have a good one.

All Runescape

Mind the title, I had nothing else better to come up with. But let's talk Runescape. My best friend, Craig, and his brother, Jimmy, are highly addicted to Runescape just like I was and somewhat am currently. Of course getting them addicted was my fault because I shot words at Craig about the MMORPG a long time ago at school and online, getting him to join and play the game, and then his brother being the fool he is copies Craig's actions and also joins. Craig gets a membership and all is well. His brother; we laugh at his pity because he is a free-to-play (f2p) player while Craig and I are members, pay-to-play (p2p) players. Why I am telling you all of this I do not know. I just wanted an introduction to fit the title of the entry.

Anyway, I have a couple of topics to discuss that I was thinking about last night after I turned my laptop off.

First off, Google Earth. I downloaded the Google Pack, a new feature that Google recently released to the public, Sunday night and Google Earth was a part of it. While talking to DrakeGTA that night he infomed me that Google Earth was out for a pretty long time now but of course I hardly look around the net enough to notice anything like it. I like the program a lot. Entertains you for a while until you run out of cities to see a satellite image of. The most amazing feature that I came across (and I didn't play with it enough to find anything more amazing) was that you can locate local restaurants, stores, bars, etc. and even bars over in San Francisco or Oak Island, North Carolina. I'm amused by simple things. I'll probably actually go fly across the globe with the program after I finish typing this...

It appears that Adams Cable, my cable provider of the Carbondale, Pennsylvania area, changed their channels yet again. Just one though that I noticed, and many little kids out there such as my nephew may be quite dissapointed. Toon Disney, the channel that took the division of the Disney Channel that it became famous for, cartoons, and broke it off from all of the shows directed more toward teenagers, came off of the air and Court TV took it's place. Holy shit. What I find funny is that all of the "cartoon channels" were grouped together, being channel 44, 45, and 46. Channel 44 is the Disney Channel, 45 was Toon Disney, and 46 is Nickolodeian. Now when you're switching from channel 44 to channel 46, you're greeted by the verdicts of the jury during a court trial. I bet kids will love that channel and grow up to be lawyers when they're older. Maybe that's a good thing because this newer generation is rather, I don't want to be too offending, but stupid and dumb witted. I might just watch a trial later on so that I can fall asleep tonight.

I also learned recently that my laptop reboots itself if the RAM is being worked up too much. This means simply running AIM, Google Talk, and a Blink-182 DVD. My computer went off when this occured, came immediantly back on, and restarted everything from fresh. This happened twice so I get rather pissed about it. Now laptops don't have the greatest RAM, or at least mine doesn't, but I'm still in that trance from big, powerful tower of a desktop computer to a small, portable and wireless laptop with monitor, "tower", keyboard, and "mouse pad", all on one small foldable piece of machinery. Now I could be intelligent and close all other applications before running a DVD disc, but why the hell would I want to use the common sense way of things when I can have my computer restart itself from being overwork and have a cursing storm. I think it's rather fun and it raises my blood pressure. Actually those last lines were filled with 100% sarcasism and I will indeed close all opened windows and programs from now on. Point being, lesson learned.

This weekend, even though I have a day off on Monday, will be no after-Christmas break. I have my major mid-terms coming up Tuesday to Thursday. And will I not just be studying for those but I have to write two huge ass essays for my English mid-term about Romeo and Juliet, and two critical thinking pre chem essays about DNA blood samples in a court case, I don't know...didn't look at the paper yet. I should watch Court TV, maybe it'll help me. And on the civics mid-term too it would help. And to add onto that fun, I'm going to a hunting and fishing dinner event tomorrow night and then I'm sleeping over my sister's house where I'll do some intense gaming with my brother-in-law. He got the new True Crime game that takes place in New York City so I'll probably play that. He stated it was amazing. What a challenging weekend...

And Yahoo ads isn't really showing any ads related to the content on my site like Google used to. I mean, once in a while it does, like before there were ads for crossword puzzle makers which I sort of mentioned in the previous entry, but I normally just see ads for mortage rates, steaks, and phone bills. Did I ever mention those before?...I don't recall... Well, I just did mention them so now I'll get a lot more ads concerning them. Yahoo ads is meant to display ads relating to the content of a page like Google but so far, they're letting me down in a way. But it's only the beta version so let's hope for the best. This is just information for anybody who's thinking of joining the beta version of the service. So far I don't think it's better than Google but it sure does get the job done.

Well, have a good one.

EDIT a second after posting: I forgot to add these 13 or so Runescape pictures in I took and uploaded to Imageshack today. Maybe that's why I picked the name for the title of this entry. I just took these picture of the usual conversations and environments of the member worlds in Runescape. You'll see East Ardounage, Seers Village, and Caterby in these pictures. A somewhat pleasure to non-members. Enjoy:

My combat level is currently 63 as you could see in the first couple of pictures. I'm finally getting up there. Nothing too exciting but I felt in the picture taking mood. Actually I took tons and tons of pictures of the in-game gameply of Runescape but never got to uploading them because they're outdated and people might think the wrong thing. Like, "Look at this n00b with the iron armour! He's a member!?!1 OMG!" I might upload them sooner or later though...

Have a good night.

GTA In School

While at school today in civics class, I expected to continue to watch the musical non-stage movie of 1776 but instead had to do an activity that we do every once in a while, maybe about once a week, called Current Events. In the Current Events magizine, we read an issue that is currently going on nationwide, some history of the topic or background information, and a weekly news debate, with some questions and a crossword to answer. Well, we were behind on our Current Events doings so that is why we did it today. Anyway, in the news debate, the topic was about the ban of selling violent video games to minors under seventeen (or eighteen if it's an AO game) and the new law that is being issued in California that took affect January 1st of this new year. And to welcome you into reading this topic in the upper-right corner of the news debate section is a picture of our own loving Carl Johnsom on a motorcycle shooting at something in the countryside at night with the caption reading something similar to "Carl 'CJ' Johnson is on another mission". So this told me that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was indeed mentioned in this article and I was just waiting for Jack Thompson or Hilary Clinton to be mentioned. They were not. And neither Hot Coffee. Only Arnold stitch-lip. Anyway, on the crossword puzzle there were two questions (I believe) about San Andreas. One, where is CJ's home turf? Answer: San Andreas. Two, who is the "hero" of GTA? Answer: Carl Johnson. Amazing...took me seconds to ponder.

The point being, playing violent video games gives you answers in school for an extra point crossword puzzle.

Anyway, I have to debate myself with the CJ turf question. His 'turf' isn't really San Andreas. I'd pinpoint his 'turf' to be Grove Street or Los Santos, not San Andreas as a state. But that's just coming from a gamer, not a rich man who creates crossword puzzles for a living. Actually they probably just use a free computer program.

Anyway, here's your update:

Mid-terms are over for this week only in which my major mid-terms are next week, with two on Tuedsay on one Wednesday. Our math wasn't really announced yet. But I have Monday off thankfully so that's an extra day dedicated to studying and an extra day for doing nothing (that being Sunday).

Also Yahoo finally accepted me into their publishing network services, thank the Lord.

Have a good one.

Small Break

I might take a small break from this blog and maybe the computer (which probably won't happen) during the next computer of days because of the mid-terms showing up already at school. My first mid-term is already tomorrow (a home ec. one) and I'm just overwhelmed in the preperation for it because nothing will sink in for me lately. Although I had a stomach virus this weekend starting Friday night so that made me weak and dreay as I still have a slight aftermath of it and now my father is sick, and he never gets sick.

I just want to make this announcement so that the few readers here will know what is currently going on. I should return Wednesday because as far as I know, that's the last day I have mid-terms this week although the mid-terms in my major subjects are next week. So far the schedule for this week is home ec. mid-term tomorrow, pre chem test Tuesday, speech, Spanish, and music mid-term Wednesday, and a pre chem lab due Thursday. Plus with these damn poetry writing exercises we've been getting in English class recently, I might not be on for a very, very long time.

Anyway just for the small note on my Runescape career, I've been training my magic just a tad bit and got it up to 21. Not that good but it's better than 1, what I just had before. But I'm back to chopping yew trees at the Gnome Stronghold to make some cash. I'm normally at World 84 or any other world that isn't too congested. I plan to get my magic to around level 43 when I can then cast the fire bolt spell which I'll need for the Lost City quest. I really need to beat that quest to weild my dragon longsword that's sitting in my bank getting dusty.

Now I must return to my studies of the proper method of setting a table, polyunsaturated fats, vitamins, tips, cafeterias, enriched and fortified foods, and everything else that makes the world go round. Have a good week.

Penn State Victory

Last night I forced myself to stay up until one in the morning to watch the five-hour football game of the Orange Bowl with PSU (Pennsylvania State University) and FSU (Flordia State University) going up aganist each other. Thankfully with a field goal by Penn State during the third overtime, they add three points onto their score winning the game. Final score: 26-23. What a game I must say. It was probably the longest and most exciting televised football game I ever saw although I don't watch football too much on TV. Mostly I'm all into high school football and that's it. I was amazed by the amount of injuries throughout the whole game affecting both teams. If Penn State didn't miss those two early extra point attempts, there wouldn't have been any overtime at all. Actually I believe PSU got lucky in a way because FSU kicked the ball for a field goal and the ball bounced off the right post and then when PSU later made the field goal that won the game, it barely made it in. Good job Joepa and team this year, 11-1. It was pretty amazing seeing two old coaches that should have retired a while ago face each other.

Now I'm extremely tired from staying up that late. I can't stay up late and wake up five hours later to go to school. I could stay up until six in the morning easily during a break from school but during a week of school, I just don't have any energy. And with these damn mid-terms coming up on Monday already, I might be collapsing on the floor in a deep slumber. It's practically bull with our schedule of next week already. Two mid-terms on Monday and a pre chem test Tuesday. Oh God...

Have a good one.

The Long Breaks Again

With school returning back into my regular routine after Christmas vacation, I'm also returning back into those long breaks of time without updating here at all. Actually the only reason I'm probably posting right now is because my school had a snow day today resulting in not having any homework. Yesterday was all hell when it came to homework. Advanced geometry is just getting to the point where it doesn't make sense and I can't use a protractor for my life. For advanced English we had a writing assiment to do resolving around poetry exercises that took me about four hours to do (I'm not a fast worker). Civics we had a worksheet where you had to unscramble words and then insert them into the blanks provided. First I can't unscramble anything and second there was no information in the book regarding the homework given. And we have mid-terms popping up already which we'll have for the next three weeks. Oh joy! I can't wait.....

But with this little ice storm we got, everybody in my school and some other schools in the local area got a break from the one day that we came back from school. And we needed it, espically the 9th graders of Lakeland High.

And I want to get some images from my digital camera up but the only problem is that there's no images to take. If I left my house and walked around town with the camera then that would be nice, but just taking pictures of my cats, outside of my house, or any item inside of my house is just boring until that time occurs. Maybe I'll draw pictures in MS Paint and upload them here. But of course I have zero artistic skill and people say I'm emo because of the pictures I draw. Okay...only one person said that. But I'm not emo. No indeed.

Also I'd like to point out this very nicly put together Runescape site called Sal's Realm of Runescape that I found just recently. I really like how the city guides on this site are put together with each one following the same pattern. Also I like the pretty massive Q&A section but I don't like how almost in every question the person writes, "hEy sal!!!11 gReAT site!!1" I think by now that Sal's self-esteem of her site is great enough with hundred's telling her how wonderful of a site she has. I just wish that would happen to me. Also her user submitted player tips are very useful too. I advise you to look at the site if you're a Runescape player or plan on playing Runescape very shortly.

Have a good one.

School Tomorrow...

The new year is here and another Christmas break off from school is ending. Tomorrow every student around the area will be waking up at six or seven in the morning, get dressed, and go for a dramatic walk for miles to their bus. Thankfully my bus stop is right across the street with the only objective being speeding cars on main street. But the point being is that it's time to go back to studying, homework, mid-terms, and sewing (if you're like me and got stuck in home ec.) which sucks. This means less blog entries (in which I went crazy over break with normally three posts a day) and not enough time sitting around looking at Runescape sites and playing Runescape itself. At the beginning of break, I put together some goals to achieve in Runescape but the next day already gave up on them. Shows you how much I give up on select things. Also during break, my blogging spirit came back with the introduction of my new laptop computer with internet into my life, blogging quietly up in my room typing up better posts whereas if I was downstairs on my desktop typing, I'd be distracted hundreds of times and would not be able to think clearly. Also the Nixon 4800 is great.

But I yet again have that bitter pain inside of me when I think about school and the upcoming objectives of the harsh mid-terms that await us when we return. The worse being speech (which I have probably this Friday), Spanish (a lot to remember, si?), and pre chem (mole, conversions, binary compounds, chemical equations, and the like). And the worst part is that for pre chem, we have a test and mid-term back-to-back.

But the real thing that currently worries me is that my brain also went on break during this "vacation" and I won't remember what we did last or throughout the year, this being very very very bad with mid-terms right after break. I think we should get mid-terms before Christmas break, then take a break during break, and go back without having to worry. Only problem, nobody, including myself, doesn't want to do any work right before Christmas in which in some classes we did. But am I really going to remember all of the adjectives for Spanish tomorrow or all the angle thingymabobs for advanced geometry? Am I even going to remember how to sew? Are we going to watch the rest of that movie in English? (probably not...)

Yes, I have some books home now and I could very well go over some subjects like math and Spanish but I have that desire to stay on my laptop up in my warm room besides lying on my cold hallway floor with a book with foreign text in it and reviewing material.

I'll try it but the results may be deadly. Do not operate machinery after five minutes of starring at it. Do not drive while reading a book. It's just all too dangerous.

Although I must think, even though I'm here right now worrying about school and ranting on about the troublesome times, the world after school (including college) is even more harsh, more bitter, and involves more thinking. It sucks having a 100.8 average for the first quarter of 9th grade because it puts pressure on you. If I get lower will I succed less in life? Will my parents not be proud of me? God help us.

Happy New Year. Have a good night or day or which ever time zone you're in insert the perfect ending statement that best suits you and your needs.
