Bonnie and Clyde

For you I would steal the world, to let you know just how I feel

I’d put it on a necklace and watch it nuzzle to your neck

Oh that neck, that piano, whose chords have spoken such symphonies so sweet

For you I would steal a star, but only the second brightest I’d give to you

So when we look up we’d still see the best

Just like I feel when I look up at you from the bottom

For you I would steal my heart, but I can’t because it is no longer mine

You know I’d be a thief for you

Because you were a thief first

You broke the commandment

But don’t break my heart
